IMG Academy Golf Club

After having such a positive experience at IMG the week before we booked another mid-week, mid-morning round as a threesome. Wound up playing with a single. Finished in just over 4.5 hours, as pace was due to foursome in front of us slowing down on back nine (100+ heat index day). Course conditions were excellent, with perfect greens, fairways, and sand traps. Friendly and accommodating staff (on day we played: Ian on carts, Evan & Brendan in club house, and starter Mark). Newly installed ice machine and water fountain in halfway house was a welcome surprise, especially in the conditions we've experienced this summer.

IMG is a nice golf course. The fairways are always in good shape as well as the greens. During the hot summer months great deals can be occasionally had using GolfNow however those deals are generally very popular and thus if you sign up as a single you will always be paired with three other golfers. So what this means is that almost always the pace of play is dictated by the slowest golfer in the foursome. Our pace was exactly 4:hours which is fairly normal under non- summer months but unfortunately we played under 109F heat index and four hours is way too long for that type of heat. The rest area with water and ice on the 5th hole ran out of ice late in our round and so that made it less than ideal. IMG is a well maintained and fun golf course but I recommend playing under cooller conditions..

Played weekend round on one of the hottest days of this summer. Excellent course conditioning from tee to green. Evert green rolled fast and true. First tier and welcoming staff (the day we played we were warmly greeted by Bobby G. at bag drop, Brendan & Willem in the clubhouse, plus starter Mark) who all seemed to appreciate that we chose to spend our time and money at IMG. Obviously we very much liked this course and look forward to returning soon.

We’re seniors and the course is too long even from the senior tees. But the course is great for long ball hitters.

Excellent relationship price/quality. Good pace of play. Given the season, greens in great shape.

We had a great time, the course is in great shape. Excellent fairways, beautiful greens, a great course for the money. Was a little letdown that it was a Sunday and they boast about amazing food on the website and the restaurants closed, the other thing not allowed to bring coolers. That’s just a lame thing. It’s Florida. It’s 95° outside. Let me bring my waters and Gatorade’s and not try to fit everything in an 8 inch cooler. Those are definitely two major downsides other than that it was a good time.

Out of the gate the staff was awesome. Course was a lot of fun and was in great shape (white tee boxes were a little iffy) fairways and greens in great shape. Breezed through the front 9 in 90 minutes. Back 9 we hit a bit of a wall and pace of play went south. A ranger would have been great to keep things moving. All in a very good experience.

Course is in great condition. Was hot out and course has plenty of ice and water available during the round at not cost. Took 4 hours but was worth it
