IMG Academy Golf Club

This course is always fairly priced, but their policy on getting carts in early is a deal breaker. We played golf after day light savings in March and they made the carts all come in at 6pm. Considering it was light out until almost 8, this is ridiculous because obviously someone who made a tee time at 3:45 or so would expect to be able to play 18. I'm not sure why this course can't just have their cart guys stay til dark like every other course. Extremely frustrating and this is not a one off thing, it has been like this for years.

Loved the professionalism of the staff. Course was in amazing condition for the summer!

Played mid-morning, weekday round. Course was almost empty. Finished (as a foursome) in less than four hours. Course has some dry spots in a couple of fairways but is in good shape for this time of the summer here in south Florida. Greens in very good condition. Areas bordering greens (fringe/collars/chipping areas) are not in good shape. Sand traps improving. Very friendly and welcoming staff (kudos to Steve in the Pro Shop). Can recommend this course and look forward to playing IMG Academy Golf Club again soon.

The good- staff, pace of play and greens. The bad - areas around the greens and traps, rough, tee boxes. The GPS is from the nineties!!! No amenities other than a line cart girl. It’s ok to play in a pinch but not a destination course.

Course was in much better condition than when last played (beginning of July). Greens were fast and true. Sand traps improved. Collars/fringe around greens still in rough shape.. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good pace of play. Bonus for this round: A couple of swans were swimming in pond behind 10th green (see photo). Look forward to coming back and can recommend this course.

Course conditions are fair (for July), greens are fairly slow - most fringes on the greens are a bit ratty - definitely lift and place conditions around the greens. Bunkers could use a top up of sand.

Over $40 for summer - somewhat pricey for what it is at the moment.

The complementary rang balls were the only good things about this course. Most fairways had some sort of disease taking them over. Which made bare spots and poor conditions. The red boxes were terrible and felt like you were hitting off hard sand. Really…the tee boxes were in horrible condition, The rough is really deep and full of all kinds of different grasses/cut weeds. We also experienced cut grass “clumps” all over the rough and some in the fairway. Around the greens there was no fringe. It seemed to be overrun by disease or extremely poor upkeep. The bunkers were not consistent with sand or maintenance. Some sand bunkers were hard and others were soft. The greens however were in good shape. The greens held the ball and putting surfaces were consistent throughout our round. This course is way overrated and should not cost $41.00 per player. IMG Golf Course needs an overhaul to bring it back to a quality golf course.

Played late morning, mid-week, mid-summer round. Course was not in as good shape as when last played (late winter): tee boxes were rough, fringes of greens were in bad shape, and sand traps are in need of some work. However, green surfaces were very nice (both rolled true and very receptive to shots), although green speed was slower than when played "in season". Fairways were in decent shape, with very few bare areas. Staff is top notch, both very friendly and accommodating, and make you feel welcome and appreciated. I would recommend this course and look forward to playing IMG Academy again soon.

First time playing, after hearing about it for years, unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The layout was good, but hasn't been properly maintained in some time. Very surprised it an academy of any sort. I've played and will play, much better courses in the area.
