Good course: no starter
This course desperately needs a starter. People jumping on the first tee box when ever they are ready, twosomes, threesomes, going out with tee times set for foursomes being paired. Get to the tenth to find someone starting on the back first. Ask for a Marshall to address, only person that came out was a kid in pajamas, just to pass by. Greens need some work from players not fixing divots.
Needs Help
Greens are going bad. Members don't fix there ball marks, and the greens keeper is letting in a bunch of weeds on the greens. Other then the greens the golf course is in pretty good shape.
Excellent shape
Haven’t played this course in awhile. Too my surprise this course is in excellent condition. My only problem was the bunkers need some attention.
Course is Good. Everything else is not
I’ll start off with the good. Course is in good condition. And typically always it minus some tee boxes littered with broken tees. What gets me is this is the second time that I’ve played on a holiday weekend and not only is the restaurant always closed (which means your only choice of beverages or drinks is m&m’s and chips to powerades and cokes and waters) but they also have no beverage cart on the course. Was told they wouldn’t be there until 12pm and by that time we were already on 17. There’s no Marshall so pace of play here is essentially unheard of. Never played a round of 18 here in under 4.5hrs. Top that off with the lady that always works the desk at the pro shop always has a smug condescending attitude. This course charges premium rates for weekends with nothing about it being premium other than it’s a good track.
Can definitely attest to the other reviews of how bad the bunkers are. Terrible condition. Some greens in very rough shape, and most tee boxes in rough shape. For the money it’s average but definitely not worth a penny more
Poor conditions
The course had not been kept up and actually was very bad. The tee boxes were in really bad shape and the cart paths were rough.
Good course, but used to be better.
Played for the first time in a few years. Bunkers are very hard with mostly red clay. Damaged my sand wedge on a large rock in a bunker on 18. When I asked if the colored flags, red, yellow and blue were
supposed to have any meaning since they were placed randomly, I was told "I don't think so". I was glad I remembered a lot about the greens. As a very senior player I wish there some tees between 6000 yards and 5150. I played the senior white tees and 400+ yd par 4's are quite challenging.
The greens aren't completely healed from their last punching, bur rolled well, if a little slow.
Heron Bay
Greens recently sanded, some tee areas needing repair. Good course layout.
Played 5 years ago and was maintained at a higher level.
Pace of Play is basically non existent
Played 18 during Memorial Day. Club house restaurant was closed so no ice for any drinks. It was 90 degrees out and not only was there also no beverage cart that day there isn’t 1 water cooler on any hole. Not to mention there’s never a Marshall to speed up pace of play. The guys that play here regularly don’t give 1 crap about playing ready golf and will make you wait 10mins on every Tee Box. Staff could care less about anything. Nice course if you’re willing to deal with the BS.
