I Recommend This Course
The back nine was closed
Booked through GolfNow for a 12:30 tee time. Arrived to find dining hall closed due to an event and was planning on eating lunch before our tee time. Then during check in was told we would have to play the front 9 twice due to back 9 being closed due to greens being aerated Would be nice to know these situations before booking, especially a hot deal, a tee time. Overall, course layout is great and enjoy playing there.

A must play!
Thoroughly enjoyed my first time at Heron Bay! Weather was cold, but dry. Course was not too busy, so pace was excellent. The layout is pretty open, buy plays long. Even the senior tees are over 6000 yds! The greens are very good, rolling true and fast. The staff at the clubhouse was very pleasant and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

This is the second review in 3 weeks that I have scored the pace of play as horrible. It took 3 1/2 hours to play six holes unbelievable. We paid almost $50 to wait around and entire day just to play 18 holes of golf this is horrible. We called the clubhouse and they rode around but didn’t address the issue, teed off at 12:30 and finished at 6 which was dark and that’s only because we played the front nine twice due to back up No fun to be had here on a beautiful day

Heron Bay
I love playing this course, the greens were rolling smoothly and not plugging on approach shots like they normally do. My biggest complaint is the pace of play; I was playing in a two-some and there were 2 groups ahead that we had to wait on each shot on every hole. We jumped both groups and the entire golf course was wide open, no other players seen for 10 holes. I wish there were better marshals on this course.

The course is in good shape but some of the greens on the front side have some crabgrass in them. Overall i would play it again especially for the price.

Overbooked
After 3 hours on the front 9 we gave up and went home. My partner grew a beard during the time it took to play. I will not book another round on this course.
