Manatee Golf Course

My wife and I played this course for the 2nd time. It takes some getting used to because several hazards cross the fairways. It was a beautiful day and I know our scores will improve with repeated play.

If you can book through T times or golf now it is good value for money but through the course it is to expensive for what it is. It is in pretty good condition and a good layout, a fair challenge for all levels. The only problem is it is laid out around a sewage farm which makes it very smelly and in some places almost unbearable. As a public course it should be cheaper and full not many people playing> It gets worse next month when I understand prices rise again. A lot of courses here vastly over priced.

As always we enjoyed our day and the course was in good condition. Visitors from the UK we always love playing at Manatee. Thanks to all concerned.

Fun and forgiving layout. Course has improved a lot in the last year. Greens are in great condition and roll true.

Conditions are awful. Every green was putting on a beach of sand. Fairways like a random backyard filled with mud and crabgrass and the lovely smell of sewage from adjacent treatment facility being torn down or worked on. Only plus was no one was there. Wonder why: yet due to way they had us tee off on back nine, the 2 of us followed 2 groups of 4 the whole time. 4 hour round. Never again.

The course layout and conditions of greens was surprisingly great 👍

Teed off approx 8am, finished 10:20. Greens were almost perfect, tees boxes were above average and fairways were 95% plus with nice grass. Even though we are in our 70’s, played white tees which left a varity of approach shots. A little confusion leaving #2 green as to which way to turn and a few holes we found water hazards we did not know existed. Definitely going back. Fun layout with generous fairways on most holes.

Manatee Golf Course has come a long way in the last couple of years. Greens are actually quite nice. Fairways have grass. Tees still need a lot of work. We played a 2:00 tee time in 2 hours 50 minutes! No one in front of us. Gotta love October golf in Florida!
