Manatee Golf Course

2-3 years ago the course conditions were much better. Tee to Green the course is now in much worse condition.

Used to play it a couple of times a month. Not now.

On the 18th hole Mark part of a foursome used profanity in the presence of a child.

His action i will not be tolerated.

The administrator of the Manatee course needs to take appropriate action.

Great course for first time out this year.

Played here a few times in the past. Course is very dried out. Tee boxes on some holes are just sand.fairways are super dry as well. Course needs water badly

The starter is absolutely the most rude disrespecting person I’ve encountered at a golf course. I did not get his name but he is the older tall gentleman. He yelled at me to go out with a stranger who was playing the senior tees, as I play the blue tees this made no sense. I was a single golfer and he had 5 groups going off at the same time and demanded I go when he said. It was rude and he did not give me a cart. I ended up having to walk the course in the heat and behind a foursome. I won’t be playing this course again as long as he is there. Mrs. Terri at the front was apologetic and suggested I send and email. Here’s a review instead. I play to much golf and pay to much money to be treated like that.

Cart guy is useless started off 19 minutes late at 841 am, go figure. Course layout was pretty cool, no cart person :(. Greens average

Fairways were bare in some areas. Greens were in great condition, ball rolled true . The bunkers were mostly that seashell consistency sand with lots of loose impediments. Overall I’d play this course again. With the summer rainstorms coming the fairways should fill out with better grass!

Very pleasant course; greens in good shape, fairways not.

Course in ok shape except tboxes that were poor. No ranger to keep pace of place making it over a 5 hour round.

My honest review of the course and staff. I have been playing this course for over ten years it’s a good municipal course.The course was in good condition greens were really good. As for the staff woman at check in was friendly and very helpful. All the course workers were respectful and would try to stay out of your way on the course and were polite. The morning attendant at the cart barn beyond helpful and friendly. But sad to say the afternoon attendant was not very courteous. While returning a cart he seemed like he had a bug you know where. Maybe he should look for a job elsewhere.

I had a fun round, however the course conditions were poor. The tee boxes looked terrible and the fairways were patchy. I understand that the heat does not make it easy to control the conditions but at times it caused bad lies. The greens were very nice.

The price per round at this time was great.
