Impressed
I've played the course 3 times since new management took over. They are doing a remarkable job with the place. Every week it looks better than the last. The staff is super friendly and the layout is unmatched on the southside. Definitely recommend.
Great Course Layout. Fun and Challenging to Play.
We stopped playing Eagle's Brooke last year due to reports that the course was not in good shape. But, we were pleasantly surprised this time. Despite the fact that the clubhouse is operating out of a temporary trailer, the course was in fact in GREAT shape, including the greens. The price was a great deal and we will definitely make plans to play here again soon. I hope that the course remains open as it is truly a wonderful course to visit on the south side of town.
a good mix of challenges
the rate on golf now was great but their normal rate is a bit high
Played course for 2nd time and enjoy it more each time
Great layout, challenging from all tee's, feel like you have the course to yourself!
Nice layout. Long and challenging from back tees
Grass is a little thin but is in Good condition already. By mid-spring should fill in and be A+. Every hole is unique. Great potential to be championship caliber layout. Will play again very soon.
Challenging course, good value.
Course is under new management/ownership. Temporary clubhouse is being used. Course playing condition is much improved compared to the last time we played (Oct 2012). Greens and fairways are good and the course layout is challenging. Although there are four sets of tees listed on the scorecard, the course only has three. Be careful, white tees are equal to blue distances on score card and blue tees are equal to gold distances. We were told new score cards will soon be printed. The outlook for the future of the course is good with the new ownership team. We'll be back again soon.
It is good course and great for price.
I have been regular visitor for the last 2 years. It has great layout and well maintained. It is one of better maintained courses in metro Atlanta.
Each time. I really enjoyed.
Challenging but fun
I played 1st week of January and it was definatley a challening course mainly from the thin, fast, ungulating greens. Fariways and rough were well maintained and there wasn't really a bad place to hit the ball. Overall a fun course and will play again.
challenging layout
played in winter..course does not overseed, so fairways were dry/dead berlmuda..not the best thing to be hitting off of. i would imagine course is much different once grass starts to come back in.
Great course for early Spring.
Really good deal for this quality of layout/design. Course condition was pretty good considering dormant grass conditions. Ashame clubhouse was not included when new owners took over. Course is operating out of a modular trailer, which is still OK. One negative thing was yardage markers or lack of, very difficult figuring out yardage in fairway, some holes had 150 sticks and other didn't. No 100 yd. sticks on any holes that I saw either. Super nice staff and very helpful. My son and I played in less than 3 1/2 hours. Want to go back and see the course in a couple months when it greens up.
New ownership has landed at the Brooke!
New owners have landed at Eagle's Brooke and changes abound! We have mowed the rough, mowed the tees, mowed the fairways, fertilized the greens, replaced the carts, filled the water coolers, and trained the staff. Prepare your senses to be enveloped by the now, serene surroundings and attentive staff at this gem. We will operate out of a temporary trailer for a short time and at times may experience hiccups with our phones and power. These minor problems will cease shortly and will not deter from the increased maintenance and friendly staff you will find upon arrival. We look forward to exceeding your expectations and providing an atmosphere filled with fun and great service!
The course has several challenges.
What makes this course a challenge is the lack of not knowing what is down the fairway. The score cards or the carts do not have a course layout. There are several WIDE creek crossings that you cannot see until your second or third shot. But I have to say I really enjoyed the course.
Amazing course layout
Eagles Brooke has to be one of the most impressive courses I've seen from a design/layout perspective. You can tell the place was designed to be a first rate club. It could stand some maintainence <edging, mowing, etc.> but my understanding is that it is currently coming under new management. I believe by March this place will begin to realize it's full potential. Maintainence aside <easily corrected> it rivals some of the nicer private clubs I've played on the northside. My playing partner and I were so impressed, we dropped our canongate memberships and joined <memberships are available and extremely inexpensive>. Visually, I think its just more impressive than any of the courses Canongate owns on the southside. Now is definitely the time to play. I think once the word gets out on this place, popularity and play will skyrocket.
