Great course that will get better with attention.
Played this course over the weekend and was very impressed. Tee boxes were in good shape, although the Blues and Golds seem to be recently swapped as the signs and GPS's all had them the other way. Greens were in great shape and they had some of the best sand I've ever played out of. (Although someone in the group ahead of us thought he was above raking)
The design of the course is beautiful and challenging at the same time, with well placed doglegs and bunkers, and the occasional blind shot.
Staff was courteous, but seemed out of sorts at the beginning with no clear indication of which cart we should take and the signage for where to go is lacking. Unfortunately, there was no ranger on the course to keep pace up and we ended up with close to a 5 hour round.
Thank you new management!
New management has done a fine job with this course. Will put it in my group's rotation.
shot makers
it really has improved, challenging, great par 3's , can't just bomb a driver
Great experience and course
This course is a fantastic buy. Don't be fooled by the price. This course is beautiful and very challenging.
One of the best championship layouts near the greater metro Atlanta area where you'll see more wild life than houses.
One of the best championship layouts near the greater metro Atlanta area where you'll see more wild life than houses. The new owners have made progress in addressing the course condition issues that resulted from financial challenges of the previous owners. Currently they're operating out of a modular pro shop but have plans to add a clubhouse. There is a practice range and a large putting green. Word is out about the better conditions so there are more golfers than before but the course is large and spread out and tree lined, so it can accommodate a lot of golfers without adversely impacting the pace of play or your golfing experience. I expect over time it will gain in popularity and the condition of the course will improve to warrant a 5 star rating. This is a must play and well worth the drive.
Nice Course I will play it again
The Course has a good Layout with lots of interesting holes.
There is not much Water but bring anyway some extra Balls.
Eagle Brooks is in the top (5 star) group of courses
I always enjoy this course. It provides great challenges well giving the player opportunityto experience great rewards. It is very scenic as well.
Challenging course with hazards in all the right places.
Eagle's Brooke requires course management to score well. If you like to bomb it on every hole, this is not the course for you unless you play from the tips. You can expect to hit anything from a 5 iron to driver off the tee in order to set up quality second shots. Recently arreated the greens but they are coming in nicely. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Even though the courses had been airated, the greens still rolled true.
The fairways are green and cut to perfection, plenty of grass in the fairways, not as much tall rough off the fairways as previously, which made it play very fair. The greens had been airated that week, but very hard to tell, still rolled true, with a lot of undalation. The course is in excellent shape and well maintained. The Pro-Shop staff was very friendly. We played a threesome in about 3 hrs, enough time to play another 9.
Great course
Again, had another good experience. The fair ways were in great condition, Even with them working on the green, it still rolled good. A course where you can score or can run up the score. A good place to play
Great layout for the price
Under new management, this course is in much better condition than it used to be. Greens could use some work, but overall it is in good shape. They have a challenging layout, without seeming unfair. I paid $32 to play on a Sunday, and I consider that a good value.
This is in great shape
The course is in great shape. Greens are rolling nice. Make sure you keep the ball in play. Hit it in the woods and its gone. I think the course should make the woods on the side of the fairways a lateral hazard to keep the time of play up.
Hidden Gem of a course
Most well kept course that we have played in a long time. It puts Georgia National in McDonough, GA to shame ! Course integrates with the natural landscape in beautiful rolling hills.
Just a short distance off of exit 212 (interstate 75). Enjoyed seeing just the course and not a bunch of houses !!
good course for the money
overall conditions improving at a very strong pace under new management
good review
The course was in good shape ( fairways, greens, tee box ), however the sand bunkers were not good.............
From The Back Tees, Bring Your A Game
This is a great test of golf from either the Gold or Black tees. You only see civilization on a few holes which makes for a tranquil outing. My only advice would be for the owners to mark the course a little better to speed up play. NO hazard signs or paint anywhere on the course.
5 sets of tees make this course a great deal for any level of golf...make sure you bring some extra golf balls, you will lose some!
challenging, excellent condition
Golf course from the back tees at 7600 yards is a bear . Fairways and greens are in excellent condition.
This course is in great shape
The new Management has really out done themselves with bringing this course back to great shape! Love playing here and has become my favorite course to play even though its seems to get the best of my every time!
Course plays well and is in really good shape. Most staff very friendly.
One of my favorite courses in the area. It is a great value and a nice course to play. Challenging for the average golfer without being overly frustrating. Staff is friendly overall.
No I do not work there.....but I live very close and I was so surprised it was right under our nose. Also, my huband was a HS golf coach and YES Lake Dow is awful !!
Spent many afternoons there !!
you made it a little too obvious that you work there by putting down the local competition and plugging in the directions. haha
