Great value
The layout is really great but the overall rating suffers a bit because the condition of the tees are a bit from what you could ask for. They are also working with a couple of the greens but all in all a great experience ad good value on a fun course to play!
Good local course
Great Staff! Good course for being local to the area. I would like to see the tee boxes improved as the colors did not always match. A Roman numeral would better to identify in my opinion.
Poor conditions
Tee boxes were terrible. Some were soft sand that you couldn’t even stick a tee in the ground without it falling over. Others had 1 1/2 inches of weed grass so when you teed up the bottom of the ball looked like it was in the ground. The rough along the fairways was very high on some holes. You hit what appears to be a decent drive and if happened to roll off the fairway, you were lucky to find your ball. Rough around the greens was ridiculous. Over all the conditions were such that it was very difficult to enjoy the round. I realize this is a muni course and I have played it once or twice for the past 20 years. . I have never seen it look so bad. The city should be ashamed! Get a decent grounds staff together and reinvest the money it makes back into the course. I got a hot deal on Golf Now and it only cost me $40 that day but I planned to play it a few times this season and I will not be back until I hear that conditions are better.
Slow pace
We were about 40 behind after 18. Groupin front of us were playing white tees and should have been on the senior tees. They were so slow there was no one for 2 holes in front of them. This course needs a ranger to keep things moving.
As Advertised
Coral Oaks is no tour course, but for the price and the pace of play it’s worthwhile. Played a Sunday afternoon round in 4.5 hrs at a public course. Can’t complain about that! Will definitely be back.
We know the course since many years and we like it
It was a rainy day and the rain developed strong at 2 p.m.. A weather alarm sounded and we had to leave the course after 12 holes.
We asked for a rain check, which was refused as we have booked with GolfNow. We were told to ask GolfNow for a compensation or a rain check.
