First round after breaking my arm.
Thank you Bill and his staff for getting me back on track! Hit a bucket of balls before your round, on the house, and enjoy a fantastic time of golf. We are looking forward to our next outing! Enjoy!!
Disappointed
This is hard to share but…
We’ve played Burnt Store many times over the past 10 years 3-5 times a season. The staff have always been outstanding and welcoming. The price to play has always been fair and never an issue given the time of year and how well the course is kept.
Sadly this was not our experience yesterday.
We know Burnt Store like most courses are being challenged by the lack of rain. But having played comparable courses nearby (Kingsgate, Maple Leaf) the conditions here are terrible. Most tee boxes are just sand, many greens top dressed to the point of not being playable. Some of this would be negotiable but the green fees are now $75-80 during the day. Fortunately we had a fairer price for our round but we won’t be back soon.
Nice place
Nice place to play. Lots of water, well kept grounds even though there is a drought right now.
Winter golf
Usually this course is in better condition but it was not this time Tee boxes were beat up and the greens were in not so good condition I know that it’s been dry for a long time and it is taking it’s toll on a lot of golf courses but I thought that this course would hold up better
Greens
Greens were terrible. Plenty of disease. . Rest of the course was great.
Poor Shape, won’t be back anytime soon
Very poor shape. Greens are 2/10.
Course ain’t worth $35 per round let alone the$75 paid.
Ok
The greens were some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Don’t know if they were diseased but they are awful, tee boxes weren’t much better.
use for practice
Not really in good shape to play with your buddies
Average for Florida
It is ALWAYS surprising to me that the courses in Florida can have so many water hazards and still poorly watered fairways and greens.
