Slow for a Big Boy course
Too many “old and slow” golfers on the course. Handicap flags would help. I realize the desire to keep playing championship courses, but Florida has many challenging executive courses which cater to these types of golfers. If you move like a penguin, please consider other venues.
coral oaks
Course had scramble tournament before public tee times,. They had booked 120 person scramble to be done in 4 1/2 hours. Bad judgement and planning. Tee time delayed 40 minutes. Had slowest group in front of us who were several holes behind the group in front of them. No marshalls, no canteen cart in hot weather..Very frustrating day. After round went to pick up my wedge in the pro shop that had been turned in by the group behind us. Pro shop was closed but they had no sense to leave club with cart crew.
GPS 20 yards off
We wondered why are all our shots 20 yards short!!! About the 4th hole I used my laser range finder and sure enough their gos was off by over 20yards
Ouch
Good Value for Money
Played the course as threesome and enjoyed the great views on the course. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Pace of play was slow with average 5+ min waiting at each tee and a Marshall looking after this would have been helpful
Considering the dry weather it’s in good shape
Green are in good shape. Not an easy course with raised greens, but a good variety of holes.
Good course
course conditions were good except for #12 tee box. Greens and fariways are good .
Improved conditions needed
City ofCape Coral, please step in and do what is necessary to bring this course back to a course we can be proud of.
Weeds are overtaking the fairways and now the greens. A lot of the grass in dried out , most of the tee boxes are just dirt, the areas surrounding the greens are bare and rocky and there is a lot of branches and dead foliage just off the cart paths.
There are so many trees missing there is no reason the areas around there couldn't be cleaned and have new grass growing there. Does the city have plans for the course? We'd like to here from you. .
Sloooow play!
They started us on back nine and it was miserably slow. May have been because we got a GolfNow deal. Still for a mediocre public course very expensive. Played it 5-6 times and always slow. Understand they are on 7 min start intervals. That is way too short.
Most courses are around 10 min intervals. Course has tons of potential. Good layout. Spend some money on fairways, roughs especially around greens and 10 min intervals would be much better.
Website for tee times is difficult to navigate this I use GolfNow.
Dry as a bone
The entire golf course, except the greens we’re dead grass dirt sand. somebody needs to water the fairways there were no fairways. It was dead grass. Also waaaay too many people they started us off 10 because it was so full. The back 9 took three hours 10 minutes.. 6 hour round
Arrrg
I played it two years ago. It’s fairly nice. Not sure what happened but it’s terrible. I won’t be going back there anytime soon.
Local
One of my favorites in the area, living in Cape Coral its close by and always in good shape. Wish there was a "local discount" during the winter "snowbird" season and or a "law enforcement" rate
My round at Coral Oaks golf course
This was my first time at Coral Oaks. The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. The course has a great layout which is very playable. The fairways are not the greatest but typical of Florida courses that don’t get a lot of rain. Overall, I very much enjoyed my round there, which I played with my wife.
Nice muni course
Good layout. Some water but only in play on a few holes. Very dry this time of year. Te boxes are just about dust. Greens in better condition.
I would recommend. Especially when rates drop or early in the winter season.
Great day
Any day you can play golf is a good day.. pace of play was under 4hrs. Some tee boxes need attention, but all in all it was a good day.
