Fun Course
Coral Oaks is a challenging course but offers a great selection of tee boxes. At my age, the forward tee make the course challenging but fair.
Charge for a rider
I played 9 holes at sunset and figured since I was going out alone, I’d bring my girl along. I was the last cart out for the day as a single and they made me pay for a rider despite her not taking a seat from someone else. It’s one thing if it’s a busy tee time… and it was also just as much as if she were to play 9. Explain that to me. Greens were decently quick but the staff members were not friendly or helpful.
Way better than last year and the year before that. Greens are great and fast and smooth! Don’t change! Tee boxes are better too. Suggesting that over seeding in December for winter would really be great for fairways and tees!
Ok course
Course is in fairly good shape. Pace of play was ok.
Course is way better than last year and year before
The Greens are excellent! Fairway could use overseed for winter months. But better than last year. Tee boxes are better as well. Need to be rolled and over seeded. . Traps are great!!!!
Good average course
The course was in good shape and the wide fairways really helped my drives and kept me from losing golf balls. The increased price due to the season was a bit much. I’m not sure the price matched the course. I came from California and the price we paid at Coral Oaks would have had a much nicer facilities at the courses in California. The pace of play was really slow we finished just under 5 hours because we had to wait at each hole often talking to the group in front of us because they were waiting.
Fun course but needs better maintenance.
Let's start with the positives, the personnel are friendly, has good amenities, and a good layout. I like that it has a few funky short par 4's with high risk to reward ratio. The par 3's aren't overly short and are challenging.
The negatives are mainly course maintenace. Many of the tee boxes are just dirt, lots of very thin lies around greens, makes pitching harder than it should be. I would like to see the rough a little longer, really no penalty when you're nor hitting straight. And a little more rough would definitely help keep a few balls out of the water when you catch the slope. Another negative is price, $92, with "conviance fee" and tax for a midday round is high for a municipal course and the shape it's in. I think the price has doubled since covid.
The greens are mostly in very nice shape and are fast, definitely the best part of the course. They are overseeding greens so maybe conditions will improve.
Coral Oaks
Had a lot of Dormant grass after 3 weeks of cold weather that made the grass conditions marginal in places, though the greens were in decent shape and were surprisingly fast. Very nice layout.
