needs alot of work
Course need alot of maintenance done. No vertical markers to show where to hit and no direction to next holes we spent 10 min or looking for hole number 1. I don't know if the course was in such bad shape because it was off season or what I would not recommend if looking for a nice course
Great Litthe Course for Placement Golf and Ego Boost
I deeply enjoyed the greens and the high level demand for course management. Although short it may disappoint the beginner for mature course management requirement. Unfortunately, the tees and fair ways were poor to horrible. I recommend the course for iron play and 15+ handicappers. I am sure most golf players will enjoy it.
Ze
Quaint neighborhood course for beginner to moderate player. Played weekday in less then 2.5 hours.
Played course in less then 2.5 hrs. on weekday. Played many times before I joined GolfNow. The course is getting in better shape as time goes on. Close proximity to my house is also a bonus for me.
For the money
For the money it's not a bad course. Has challenging holes mixed in with some very easy holes. I enjoy playing there.
Better than hitting range balls
I paid 5 bucks for 18 holes and cart. They weren't the prettiest holes and the homes weren't impressive either. I don't care how rough a course can be because I love the game in any condition. If you don't mind the heat and a little mud, give it a try. Not a course for wimps but easy enough for beginners. Leave the driver at home and play from the back tees if your above average to make it more challenging.
Decent Course, Great Staff!
Decent Course, Great Staff!
Took my son golfing for the first time and they had a kid's set for us to rent. We had a great time!
Stuck in Limbo
I've played this course many times due to the proximity of where I live, and that is really the only reason I go there. The group that owns this course is not putting any extra money into it, they are letting it die a slow and painful death, rumor is that they are trying to redevelop the land into new homes and getting rid of the golf course all together. The staff there is friendly, the pro and the assistant pro are very helpful.
There are one or two holes that are pretty challenging with water and a narrow chute off the tee box that need you to know how to hit more than just a straight shot.
Personally I wish there was a group who would see this as a really good course and sink the money into it to make it better for all. I don't think that will happen though. Based on that I can not recommend this to anyone, use your money on a course that is there for the long haul so your money can go to it and the folks that work it.
Great course for the value!
Greens were just aerated so it wasn't the greatest conditions. Staff is great and good course to get a quick, yet affordable round in.
Terrible staff
Staff was not good at all ate lunch there with a dog running around the clubhouse. Course was in really bad shape lost 4-5 balls in rough because it was so high. It's a wonder the course is still open.Sorry to write a bad review but i wish them the best of luck i will never return and i live 2 mins away i will go else where.
fix it please
use to be a nice quick little course, greens are like they close mowed the fairway where there was grass
More bad than good points
The biggest issue with this course is poor maintenance. This course struggles with managing water and as a result the condition is very poor. There appears to be little maintenance whether due to cost or water fall. Hence poor greens tees and fairways The course location is not great and you keep crossing roads. Will not play again.
Great for the $
I completely recommend this course especially if you can get a "hot deal"! Can't beat it for the $.
Course needs a haircut
Like a man who is 3 months past his haircut appointment, this course needs some attention drastically. Lots of unintended hazards that are simply due to lack of maintenance and the guys on the mower must be on furlough. Would not play there again if it was free and came with a sleeve of balls and lunch thrown in. I can see why it is not busy. You ask for honest feedback, here it is.
great value for the price but a popular place can sometimes make for slow golf
I like the fact that I hit a birdie last time I played so this place has good memories from me, the greens and course in general were in good condition too
Waterlogged
This course was holding so much water on the front 9 that the golf cart almost got stuck a couple of times. No cart girl on a Saturday, and bar staff were less than friendly..
This course needs a green's keeper STAT!
Forget playing from a particular tee box. You'll want to use which ever one has the best coverage... and since they aren't spaced very far, it should be pretty "convenient". Some fairways have dirt patches or crabgrass. However, greens were great!
It's Casselberry. What did you expect!
It is in fact Casselberry golf course. Never in great shape. Some off the greens have crotch rot. Fairways and tee boxes usually have bare patches. Short. Barely 6000 yds from the back tees. But on a thursday afternoon I paid $14, played by myself slowly and still finished in 2 hrs 50 minutes. Bonus points for knockout counter attendant inside the shop! What a beauty!
Good course for us amature old guy's.
My review would be higher if the greens were in better shape. The staff on the other hand was very helpful. I had not golfed here in over a year, so they refamiliarized me with the practice and course layout and game me tips on how to make the most of my money in future practice sessions. I will return and continue my quest to break 100 from the white's. We gave way to a couple folks that were waiting on us and they were appreciative about that. Had a splendid time on the course. Even a little rain didn't deter us.
This course has given better service.
One of the worse experiences at Casselberry Country Club. After going to Casselberry for the last fifteen years, the staff had trouble communicating with my friend and I the rain check policy. Due to the weather we only played 8 holes and decided to head back to the club house for a pitcher of beer n some food. The discussion of a rain check took place and Jay at front desk offered a coupon for $4 to come back. For my friend and I, we decided we would wait it out. $4 is a quarter of the rate we payed and we were asking for at least half our money back. After waiting about an hour n half, they day cleared up and we went on our way. After playing three holes, Kenny rolled up viciously asking my friend and I to leave, because the course was closed. After finding out the course was closed for the first time, on the 13th tee box, we had a second discussion of a rain check and fingers kept pointing to talk to someone who wasn't there. The lack of service makes me feel like my money spent was not worth the product delivered. I'm a huge fan of keeping Casselberry country club, but the service needs take care of guests who buy mult rounds a month, year after year.
Good course
So, I was a little generous with my rating because it really is a fun course. The front 9 is pretty challenging. I lost a lot of balls in water hazards. It was frustrating. The next time I play here I'll be much more conservative with shots on the front nine. The tee boxes are good. The fairways aren't bad at all. The greens.... they're a little a toasty. The golf carts are too slow also. Pest control is good. Despite the swampy areas there were not a lot at all. Staff is really great. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The course is by no means, fancy but I think it's a great value and a great place to tune up your game.
