Not a good course if you are a better golfer
This course is EXTREMELY short and in bad shape. Bad bunkers, bad greens, bad fairways. Not very challenging and from the blue tees, 7 par 4 holes can be driven by a 14 year old. I would not play here again or recommend anyone else to unless it was their first time ever. Only good thing was the staff. All friendly and the food was good too.
Small but good
We started out on the back nine which was fine. The front nine was a little wet by the time we played on it so that's why they started us on back nine. It's a good course to practice on. They had just enough difficult holes to keep it interesting especially for the price.
Not bad for the price
Though not a long course, there are several challenging holes and some forced carries. Conditions are about average or slightly below, but for the price you really can't complain. I'd recommend this course for anyone working on their iron play or short game as this is just basic golf.
Great course the money spent!!!
Greens were in slightly better than average condition. They were a little slow so speed judgment takes a few holes but over course is in good shape and extremely fun to play.
Fun, Easy Course
Casselberry GC is a fun, easy course for beginners. Not too many difficult holes and it's never really that busy. Would definitely go back.
Pretty Nice Neighborhood Course
This course is not the best course in Orlando, but for the price and speed of play it's great for me. I'm a beginner in the golf world, so the ability to play quickly and learn a thing or two is all I'm looking for. It also doesn't hurt that the course is only 5 minutes from my house.
The greens themselves could use some work, but I've heard they've been making some improvements. Looking forward to see what another few months will do!
Not recommended
This is a good course if you are learning the game and need to go somewhere where the condition of the course does not matter that much. The fairways are filled with crab grass and the greens are half dirt-half clumpy grass.
dismissive staff
bought a hot deal on Golfnow and asked Staff if I could Tee off a little early, they said no because it was a Hot Deal. I could not use my tee time because something had come up. If I ran a business a would take 9$ over no Dollars, which is what they got. I wont be back anytime soon. Play Mayfair instead....
some nice holes
Pleasant experience! Can be difficult at times. Nice scenery.
Great course for the money
I've read some of the prior reviews and I think people are forgetting value of this course. For $20 on a Saturday morning I have little to no complaints. A couple of the greens have some scarring or overgrowth but no major complaints. The 2nd hole's green has a scar from what was probably a hydraulic leak on the mower but I've played the last couple months and they've made sure to keep the pin placement on the right side of the green in an effort to avoid that on your putts. It's short, but still challenging enough to keep you interested. At just over just over $1 a hole I can't see a reason not to play it!
Good value, but course is a little rough
I got a hot deal for this course on a weekday, and I played in less than 3 hours. Those factors considered it was great value. The greens were decent, fairways ok, and teeboxes a little rough. I rate courses based on what I am getting for the money, and I felt this was a good deal.
Mats?
Might be better to play on mats so fairways can grow.
Glad I got a super Golfnow rate, Quit after 3 holes
Good For the Price.
Leave the Driver at home, ...as most holes are shorter. You'll still need a well place 5 wood or long iron. Fun layout, with a few pleasant surprises. Watch for Traffic!!... carts need to cross over busy roads several times.
Older course. Good for the money.
Slow greens had some broad weed growth on the greens! Tough force over challenges. At 20 HC, expect to lose some balls. But had a very good day for the money. Tightly booked, expect to wait on some holes. Still, very inexpensive. Good for practice, but don't take your clients or your boss here.
needs alot of work
Course need alot of maintenance done. No vertical markers to show where to hit and no direction to next holes we spent 10 min or looking for hole number 1. I don't know if the course was in such bad shape because it was off season or what I would not recommend if looking for a nice course
Great Litthe Course for Placement Golf and Ego Boost
I deeply enjoyed the greens and the high level demand for course management. Although short it may disappoint the beginner for mature course management requirement. Unfortunately, the tees and fair ways were poor to horrible. I recommend the course for iron play and 15+ handicappers. I am sure most golf players will enjoy it.
Ze
Quaint neighborhood course for beginner to moderate player. Played weekday in less then 2.5 hours.
Played course in less then 2.5 hrs. on weekday. Played many times before I joined GolfNow. The course is getting in better shape as time goes on. Close proximity to my house is also a bonus for me.
For the money
For the money it's not a bad course. Has challenging holes mixed in with some very easy holes. I enjoy playing there.
Better than hitting range balls
I paid 5 bucks for 18 holes and cart. They weren't the prettiest holes and the homes weren't impressive either. I don't care how rough a course can be because I love the game in any condition. If you don't mind the heat and a little mud, give it a try. Not a course for wimps but easy enough for beginners. Leave the driver at home and play from the back tees if your above average to make it more challenging.
