Precision Requiring Front 9 but Easiest Back 9 Ever
The front 9 is quite challenging. Lay it up (like the old days) is my advice. The front 9 does NOT have wide open fairways typical of many Florida courses.By the end of the first 9 holes, as soon as you start thinking, this course is challenging, Casselberry Golf Course provides you with the easiest back 9 you will ever see. Although hole 11 is an exception( a narrow par 3).
You get what you pay for.
The whole course needs plenty of TLC. Tee boxes and fairways are in rough shape. Fairways, especially on front nine, were pretty sad. The small greens were in fair shape although showing lack of repair from ball marks. A lot of streets to cross getting from one hole to the next. Rented clubs ($9) and received a older set of low end clubs which didn't help my game. We were two seniors and played from the whites (4970 yards - 5452 from the tips) and didn't find the course overly challenging, but considering the price, it's value for money.
Surprised...
I've played this course several times over the past few years and I always left disappointed. The greens were slow, the tee boxes dirt, and most of the course was a soggy mess. However, this was not the case this round. The greens weren't super fast but they were enjoyable. The tee boxes had grown in. And it was relatively dry. Consider me surprised.
Scoring:
I always think I'm going to score well because of the length of the course. However, because of tight landing places off the tee boxes and small greens the course ends up being more challenging than I expect. Thus leaving me surprised.
very nature setting with plenty of trees and water
I like this golf course for its natural setting.Lots of trees, water and birds.Medum difficulty but novice friendly.Staff is very friendly and will acommodate to your needs.
Good track for the money.
Fairways and greens were in better shape than other courses we played via GolfNow prepaid deals. Good mix between challenging shots and less risky ones.
Nice course; good water holes; alot of fun to play; would recommend highly
The course was a moderate challenge but alot of fun. It was maintained well and the people who worked there were extremely nice. I would highly recommend the course to all levels of players.
Pretty Good
There were many people out on the course at one time and it felt as if the people behind us were pushing us to go faster.
Fun Course
You should play well here even higher handicapper but some challenging holes also This course has a real good practice area also.
Best value for the money
Greens are in greta shape and the overall condition is good. One of the best courses you can play for the value.
good cheap fun
I play here often. Its not bad for the price. Course needs a little attention.
Tough and tricky
The 1st 4 holes are a tough start if you've never played here. A shot makers course. Local knowledge would have been helpful. No par 5's on the back, but in great condition!
Good local course.
Course distance was much shorter than I normally play but it was fun for the discounted price I paid. There are some interesting challenges with overhanging tree. I forgot to bring my GPS so par 3s were very challenging because there are no distance markes on any of the tee boxes that I could find. Very difficult to find the next hole in some instances because they are across streets and down a ways either left or right and they are not marked very well.
Not bad for the price!!!
The course was in good shape. It is a fairly short course, would be great to take your kids to. Overall I enjoyed the round especially considering it was less than $20 to play with cart.
I like golf so I try not to complain!
The pace of play was poor but it was probably the best or second best day of weather all season and so I can see why that might happen. The course still could use some attention but I like golf so I try not to complain. It is not the worst but the greens and tee boxes ( two fundamental golf course components) are poor or near poor condition. it is an okay price for the play and this course will cause you to use other clubs you may not use normally.
Greens have improved and course is fun.
Course condition is improved. The front nine is fairly challenging, with a somewhat easier back nine. Could do better with combining players to reduce the number of singles and doubles, thereby improving playing time.
Fun course but not in best condition. There is a lot of rough and if you do not hit a straight ball you will lose a lot of golf balls. We did arrive early and were able to tee off before our scheduled time.
Best bang for your buck!!
Course is a great value. It's a shorter course that forces you to make shots. It's getting better and better condition wise with the new manager.
short but with great greens.
this is a short course, but lately has been keep up nice. the greens are in great shape, and the price is very nice.
Tough course for the distance.
Staff was great, price was reasonable, course condition was pretty good, greens slow but in good shape, nice practice areas. Course plays a little tough if you can't hit the ball straight.
average condition
hardest part of the course is first 4 holes after that is a lot easyer
