Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Nice short course with history.
Good shape, fairways and greens. Overall good, friendly staff. Short course but it will challenge you to make shots, lots of water hazards keep you alert. Fun to play.
Best course in Orlando for the money
You’ll be hard pressed to find a better course for $65. Really enjoyed the round and will be going back soon!
Nice track and picturesque
Friendly staff, green fairways, tee boxes were in good shape, greens were well kept, very consistent, speed was good, traps were nice but slightly variable in the depth of soft sand on top. Carts were fantastic, equipped with state of the art displays giving us overall picture of every hole and to top it off they automatically displayed the code for rest stops when passing by. Loved them.
This one is nice
Had a blast, we decided last minute during lunch and went and played after work. Was busy due to league play so we played the back 9, so parking sucked, but the course was in great shape.
Course Knowledge
If it is the first time playing the course there is a significant amount of course knowledge to keep your tee shoot from up in the water.
Fun course but
Always a fun course and it good condition. My only small comment is after playing as a 4some in less than 2 hours on the front side the ranger asked us to pick it up. We played in less than 4 hours.
Great Course
The course is well taken care of and the staff is outstanding. Great place to play golf any day of the week. Highly recommended!
I love Dubsdread!
The course was in great condition and pace of play was reasonable.
The range is excellent.
A Fun Coarse to Play
We enjoyed playing Dubs, the greens are not super quick which suits us, the bunkers are good and the design of the coarse makes it fun. There are challenging holes with water in play. Go play it, also check out the restaurant.
Above average conditions considering weather
A couple hard freezes and barely any rain but Dubsdread keeps it respectable. Pace of play is usually the biggest issue here, but I guess I got lucky this day and finished 18 in 4 hours. No local course has an excuse for terrible conditions if Dubs can get it done, I'm looking at you Winter Pines.
Friendly and Challenging
We were made welcome in the pro shop, directed to the range with a small bucket of free balls before play.
We headed to the practice green by the first tee and we’re greeted by the starter and introduced to our 4 ball partners (who were members)
Bill and Dave welcomed us and made the whole afternoon an enjoyable and successful experience!
Thanks and we will be back soon!
Bang for your buck
The course is very well maintained.. fairways are razor thin on the front 9 but overall very nice course to play.
Dubs
The course is in great shape besides a couple of greens that have decent size bare/sand spots. Course layout is fun and challenge with tight greens and plenty of water. Overall staff is helpful and nice.
Come on. $4.99 for a can of Diet Dr Pepper!?
I love Dubsdread. It is in great condition, the staff are great, it’s a challenging fun course to play, and it’s only five minutes from my house. In my opinion, Dubsdread is what most municipal courses should aspire to be. The addition of the trackman range and the new snack shack at the turn are wonderful addition.
There’s only one problem. Since the new additions have been added and they now charge $4.99 for a can of soda. Yes you read that correctly. A 12 ounce can of soda, that has a wholesale cost somewhere around $.50, is being marked up 1000%. Frankly, the food and beverage manager at Dubsdread is gouging on something that families and kids are most likely to order. It goes counter to the family-friendly nature of Dubsdread. What makes this worse is that beers are six dollars for domestic or seven dollars for craft. I think it is patently ridiculous to charge so much money for soft drinks and then keep beer prices lower. Soda should be three dollars and add a dollar extra two beers if you’re trying to maintain profit.
I know many golfers are probably thinking, “yay, cheap beer!”
I’m all for cheap beer. But when you’re 12 ounce can of soda, not a 20 ounce bottle, a 12 ounce can of soda, is five dollars, which is even more expensive than Disney World, I think you have to question what a course owned by the city of Orlando is doing to the taxpayers of Orlando
Nice layout, great price.
Great track and in excellent condition given the price point. I played with my daughter, who is 13, and it was a good test for her but still very playable.
I was impressed in the pro shop when they saw my daughter, asked if she was a junior and reduced the price. Not sure what the discount was but I was expecting to pay $140 and paid like $85.
Good for winter golf at a reasonable price.
