Cove Cay Golf Club is located along the shores of Tampa Bay, offering scenic views and abundant wildlife. Water is a prominent feature on the golf course, coming into play on 12 holes. The course is tight with narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky dogleg holes. In addition to all of the water hazards, there are also deep bunkers lining the greensides. At 6,000 yards, it is not a long course by any means but what it lacks in length it makes up for in shot-making challenges. Thanks to its length though, it can usually be played in under four hours. The layout features a diverse set of hazards that will require the use of every club in your bag. Cove Cay Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 17th. This dramatic hole runs alongside the bay, making accuracy a necessity in order to reach the small peninsula green.

Someone took my tee time and I had to go to #3 to play with another group that had room, and then finish #’s 1&2 by myself.

Marshal was very friendly but I was frustrated with not starting on the first hole and having to finish the course alone.

A quiet spot in a busy location

This is a rather tight, but not long course that is tucked away in a quiet spot in a busy location. Many holes have water in play and the course sits on scenic Tampa bay.,

Greens are small, but fair. Fairways were in good condition, but tee boxes could use a little TLC.

Staff was helpful, though there were no refreshments on the course and the restaurant seemed understaffed.

Overall this was a nice course, and I would come again.

Decent course

We got there 45 mins early so that we could hit on the range but the range was closed for a lady’s clinic. Would have been nice to be able to save a few spots. The starter sent us out as soon as we got there since another group was late. Normally, that is great but we told him we weren’t ready…he wasn’t having it, he kept pushing us to hit…so we felt a little rushed.
