Cove Cay Golf Club is located along the shores of Tampa Bay, offering scenic views and abundant wildlife. Water is a prominent feature on the golf course, coming into play on 12 holes. The course is tight with narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky dogleg holes. In addition to all of the water hazards, there are also deep bunkers lining the greensides. At 6,000 yards, it is not a long course by any means but what it lacks in length it makes up for in shot-making challenges. Thanks to its length though, it can usually be played in under four hours. The layout features a diverse set of hazards that will require the use of every club in your bag. Cove Cay Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 17th. This dramatic hole runs alongside the bay, making accuracy a necessity in order to reach the small peninsula green.

have played here every time in the area over the past several years..course continues to improve..overall great conditions.....the people who work here are very accommodating and attentive..

it's a super fun and challenging layout...water in play on most of the holes...if you can play the whole 18 without rinsing one you have done well!!

Friday morning is a women's league so our start time was delayed and pace of play was slow. It was a beautiful day while on vacation so we enjoyed the nice course and waiting in the sunshine, Visiting the St Pete area and we would recommend this course as a place to play for the average golfer. Some nice bay scenery on the back 9.

Great course BUT!!!!

We really enjoyed this course today and I mean it, beautiful layout very challenging small greens very fast, but it was our first time there and they make no effort to give you a course layout not on the score card, there are no illustrations of the hole at the tees, I even went in after the turn and would have gladly paid for a flip card hole by hole note pad....nothing ....nada... when I asked the guy at the counter he said we have 200 yard markers out there...seriously!

We put our tee shots in the water because you did not know the water was there....high fiving all the way thinking we just danced on it!!

It is such a small thing to think about the first time players and what they need to enjoy the course I hope someone from this course reads this and takes it to heart.
