Cove Cay Golf Club

Love the layout. Back 9 has many holes adjacent to Tampa Bay. Course was quite wet. Has rained more than usual the last couple weeks. Fairways nice green lush. Will play here again.

Very slow people hitting 2-3 balls drinking on the course... not good

Typical Florida course. There was a lot of rain recently which made for some less than ideal conditions but the course still played nicely. John the starter was great and assisted with anything needed. Rounded the turn and found 2 groups of 4-5 players that were clearly having a fun time. Slowed play dramatically but hey….golf in Florida is fun either way. Would go back but maybe in the AM first thing or late in the evening

I love this golf course. The conditions was better and totally playable. With all the rain, somehow the course survived.

Play smart and you'll do better. There must be a reason there are 200 golf balls in the Tampa bay by the 17th green.

Cove Cave is an excellent course. It was in very good condition and it’s right on the water which makes the views from the back nine incredible. I really enjoyed this course. I’ll be back.

Carts need battery work. Staff was fabulous . Hot day but beverage cart can frequently and provided plenty of refreshments and ice.

Course was in very good shape for the recent weather. Look forward to playing there again shortly.

Narrow fairways. Penal rough (too thick). Greens are not in good condition; not the worst but not good either; a number of times I had to move my ball to a new line to avoid damage, old cups, poor mowing, old ball marks, etc. Traps not maintained. Also, they made a mistake with the booking - I was booked as a single, but a foursome had the same tee time. Fortunately I was able to move ahead; which allowed for a quick round; otherwise I could see open holes behind us, and I'm sure slow rounds for those further back. In any case, the first tee looked a little overbooked on a Saturday morning. I would not pay full price here; would not recommend to a friend.

OMG we quit after 9 holes and 3 hours in. Ridiculous the way they book tee times here. I know it’s a Saturday and busy but come on, you have to spread them out by more than 10 minutes! Plus this is a difficult course, very tight fairways and lots of trees and water so that adds time to the hackers on the course.

I will say the Bayview restaurant across the street is awesome and highly recommended!

got there ahead of tee time. had to wait a bit for rain storm to pass. once we got moving, we were very pleased on how little effect the rain had on the course. Condition was excellent and drained well. Will return soon.
