Cove Cay Golf Club

My tee times was at 11:12 . I arrived about an hour early to warm up on range. Upon checking in I was told that the driving range was closed because of a teaching clinic and I couldn’t use the range for another hour. So I worked on putter green until about 10:40 am and I see that the clinic has moved to one side of the driving range. So I go into clubhouse and ask if I can utilize the opposite side of the practice range and was told “No” and that I had to wait another 15. minutes. After exiting the pro shop I look and the are 3 people not associated with the clinic, now hitting balls,Less than 5 minutes later about 10:50 am I see patrons walking out of the pro shop with buckets of range balls? I didn’t like the way that was handled and felt totally disrespected! The starter was great. The teaching pro walked by and was great and cordial but apparently the clubhouse pro shop attendant had a problem with “me” utilizing the range. Two things: 1) Don’t hold clinics during the busy time on a Saturday.. In the afternoon when the tee sheet isn’t as busy would be much better. 2) 5 minutes after walking out of the pro shop after the second no, I should’ve been approached and given the opportunity to get range balls before people with tee times behind me should have..

Course had some beautiful views of the water. Club rental was only $20 which was good because we are playing from out of town. Would recommend this course to anyone coming the the Bay Area.

Absolutely loved the course layout. From tee to green one of the best keep courses in the Tampa, Clearwater and St.Pete area. Been playing for 45 years and carry a 3 handicap. I will play Cove Cay again.

Wry good shape. Paving the cart paths in progress but nice touch.

The course was immaculate. Restaurant food was wonderful. Harliegh our server was amazing. The only slight complaint is the age of the carts and the lack of technology. But would recommend to all! I WILL BE BACK!

Tuesday's is apparently ladies league day. NEVER EVER WILL I PLAY AGAIN WHEN IT'S LADIES LEAGUE DAY!!! I'm no pro but when you have cart after cart of ladies on their 7th shot only 200 yards from the tee be ready to play a 5+ hour golf game. Hate saying this against my own sex but we should have been warned! Then the pro shop told sone random to just join with whoever you want. So we got stuck with some guy who never knew where his ball was and was just as slow as the ladies.

I've played here twice now, and both times have been fantastic experiences. The course has some beautiful scenery along the water. Greens were running fast, fairways were in good shape. I highly recommend to try this course if you haven't already!

Fun right layout. Beautiful views, great layout, super fun. Wonderful staff. This has to be Tampa’s best-kept secret.

Get it now while the weather is as good as can be.

Fairways decent, but rough is sparse and the ball goes all the way to the bottom. So don't go roughing it.

You'll enjoy it a lot if you've never been there.

Course is always in good shape. The Husband and Wife team are constantly upgrading the course. Several of the back nine holes border Tampa Bay .Nice vistas. Several Dolphin sightings . Friendly staff. All around good experience. Have recommended the course often.

Fairways and greens were in great shape. Pace of play was excellent hearing will be back soon.

Had many choices, all in same price range of around $40. First time playing in the area. Course was just ok. Back tees are only 6100 yards. It doesn't describe itself as an "executive course" but the Par 34 back certainly has that feel. A number of the greens had damage/issues around the edges

If you don’t play this course everyday then you’re not going to know what any of the holes do. No pictures of holes on scorecard or signs beside tee boxes. Greens were in awful shape, fairways were tall almost like playing out of the rough. Will never be back to this course
