Cove Cay Golf Club

Layout was excellent and picturesque. Tee boxes and fairways in great shape. Some green were under repair but overall were very good. Maybe a touch slower than I’d like but we’ll be back.

The only negative I have to say about this course is that it took 3 hours to play the front 9 and just over an hour to play the back so overall the day wasn’t bad, but standing around on the front 9 so often was aggravating and no one could get a good flow or rhythm.

Course was in great condition, greens were soft and the perfect speed for my liking but probably not for most. This will become a regular visit for me.

Some of the greens were rough. but the price, location, and layout can't be beat...

All aspects of course good to excellent considering it's Florida's rainy season.

This course was in the top 3 of the worst courses I’ve ever played. Most greens had bare spots or damage. Slow greens is an understatement. The fairways were weed infested and poorly maintained. The practice range was a joke. I totally lost interest in playing after the 4th hole. Just had time to kill so I continued. This course might have been a better experience back in the day but this wasn’t the day.

I had the worst experience I have ever had on a course. The greens and condition on the first 9 were ok at best. Several greens on the front were in bad shape. Back 9 was a lot better. The MAJOR issue I had was with Bob in the pro shop. After hole 9 we needed to get water (Pro shop did not sell water bottles...)and use the bathroom and switch our cart out due to a dying battery. The ladies behind us were apparently in a league and they played through when we stopped. They were teeing off when we got to hole 10 and we told them to go ahead and play through. We got to hole 16 when a lady from a different group behind us starting going off on us saying we jumped then and that they were in a league and said some not nice words to us. We didn’t realize there was a league and told her that we let the ladies in front of us go. We ended up skipping the entire hole to catch back up and get back in front of the ladies in front of us. When we go to that hole to tee off, Bob came flying up yelling and screaming at us for skipping and messing with his wife’s league, we tried to explain what had happen but was threatening to kick us off the course. The lady yelling at us was his wife and he or she would not even listen to us when we tried to explain what happen, even the ladies in the league tried to explain and calm him down. I think it’s pretty bad when all the ladies including the ladies playing with the lady that went off on us, are coming up to us and apologizing for her and her husband Bob behavior. The owner of this course should strongly look into addressing this matter. I will never be back to play this course again and would hope this does not happen to you.

Got a great deal to come play this course with a couple friends from back home. Drive 2 and a half hours but it was so much worth it! Would recommend to anyone!

The course is short with narrow fairways and small greens. The tee boxes and fairways are in good condition. Several of the greens have bare spots and some are under repair, but still playable.

Nice course. Little slow behind outing at first but picked up considerably when they finished. Beautiful views especially back nine.
