Cove Cay Golf Club

Slow play by 4some a few groups in front of us backing everyone up.

No drinking water on course.

Hadn’t played there in about 3 years, was very pleased with the overall condition of the course. Very friendly staff especially the owners. Each time we have played there in the past, owner Pat always find time to great us and welcome us. Today was no exception. Looking forward to our next outing at Cove Cay. By the way, food was outstanding.

Overall, the course was in a mediocre state at best. Greens had been recently aerated, and it was bone dry to boot making it impossible to get a good read on the green. 10 foot putts were an impossibility. Fairways were splotchy in many areas. Couple this with an abhorrent pace of play and it makes for a rather frustrating experience. I can see where this would be a fun course when things are in good shape and folks keep things moving. Pace of play is a much bigger concern for me, and based on other reviews it seems to be a regular issue.

I’m not sure I’ll return because of the pace of play issue.

So I am visiting Florida and this was the first course I have actually played. Greens were recently worked on so they were not good. Ball was not rolling very well. The fairways were ok and the course layout was pretty nice but for the money it is not worth it. Guy at front desk was alright but really didn’t want to talk too much. No map, no direction of how to attack course. I’m new, stated I was new, and he basically said start at 1 and go straight! Lmaooo Get a map people, I’ve been on $10 courses who have a map. It would be a cool

Course for $20 maybe even $25 because of the views but more than that, I wouldn’t play again.

Greens had been recently aerated which left them with a button cushion look. Ball does not roll straight due to holes which made whole game frustrating..

Outside of aerated greens and poor conditions throughout the course it was a fun round.

If you like a shorter course this is a very good option.

Terrible fairways and greens... 50 bucks?!?! For that. Never again

Fun day playing golf with my friends. Bob (at the pro shop) was very nice and helpful. We played as 3 in just a bit over 3 hours. The layout of the course was fun. The greens were in So-So condition. It always nice just to get out and play golf!

Course was not exactly in tip-top condition, but I knew that going into the round...so it was about what I expected. I was playing with two beginners, and the starter was super-friendly and understanding. Good for newbies.
