Cove Cay Golf Club

Bill (not the owner) is the rudest pro shop staff member I have ever come across. There are many local courses to play and never again will I pay money to be subjected to his mistreatment of guest. Course was packed a few years ago, and now you don’t even need a tee time. It’s no wonder why. It is a shame the owners (who have put a ton of money into the course over the last few years) are allowing this man to ruin their business.

Stay away and play much nicer local courses for similar money.

I’ve been playing here for years and decided to come to an end. First of all they think this is a 40$ course , haha. I have watched this course deteriorate at a rapid rate and they have no up keep.

Course played well today even though there was a very heavy rain the night before.

On the first green there were a large amount of worm holes.

All traps were water holes.

But otherwise I still shot 71. Not crying.

The course was in rough condition. Bunkers were harder than driving mats. If you missed the fairway slightly you will be hitting off dirt with grass patches sprinkled throughout. The maintenance team really needs to have better management to get the course in shape. Won't play here again.

I’ve played Cove Cay 20 plus rounds this year. Today it was in poor condition in most fairways. The grass could not support the ball. So it would sit on the mud or sand below. You couldn’t even move it to a spot that would support the ball.

It was like a balding mans hair. Not much there.

The greens were rolling ok but grainy and slow.

I still played well. Had to really hit down and though all the irons.

71 total. No cry

Course had recently had greens aerated. No mention of that when booked or would probably booked another course. Greens extremely bumpy and impossible to get a good read and putt. Price should have been reduced as well. Probably will not return as Course does not appear to be customer friendly. Not the best level of clientele frequenting this course either.

Just punched greens a week ago and they are healing very well! Greens are a little bumpy but rolling great and very receptive! I played more prestigious courses in the last two weeks and this place was better than all of them!! Go play it, you will be surprised!

Loved the course. Short but challenging. In good condition in spite of rain.
