Very clean fairways and greens
The course was in great shape. Staff was friendly and they finally have a starter. Better than last year. Great bargain for the price.
Go to 9 hole
My go to nine hole staff is friendly bang for your buvk rates and you’re not there all day Love the culture
Well priced for the course
As long as they don’t get expensive I’ll keep coming back. Fairways and greens(slow) are pretty well maintained.
Chaos Before Golf
There is no way to get to the first tee. Seriously. The bridge was washed out almost two years ago and has not been replaced. Instead, there is goat trail through a dry creek bed which must be navigated to make the tee box. The creek bed is lined with boulders and sand so navigating a pull cart is quite exciting. The morning we arrived some fool thought he could drive a cart down the trail and flipped it into the bed. Thankfully he wasn't hurt too bad. No signs warning walkers or cart drivers. i'm surprised a lawyer doesn't stand by the path at all times to sign up clients. Add to that that there is a regular group which monopolizes the first 45 minutes of available tee times and add to that the reservation system is so antiquated that all the tee times were double booked. A complete chaotic mess getting off the first tee. The course itself is fun, well-kept and moves well considering how much use it gets. The greens are a bit slow but in good shape and true. Hector's bloody marys are always welcome after hole 2. Hopefully they fix the bridge and invest some money on the front end.
nice course, nice people
the course is very decent, not those very small par3 courses, there are even a par 5hole. with unbeatable price and nice stuff
'Okay' course, not the friendliest staff members
This was my second visit to this course, and both times the staff left a lot to be desired.
On my first visit, we were told there weren't any golf carts available, despite seeing several unused ones. Later, another staff member (who overheard the initial interaction) informed us that the front desk staff had allegedly reserved carts for friends, leaving none for paying customers. He apologized and mentioned he'd speak to management, but the damage was done.
My second visit, on Father's Day, was no better. The front desk staff member displayed a clear lack of enthusiasm. His unenthusiastic demeanor was evident when he announced over the intercom for "free rounds in exchange for help setting up." This suggested a strong desire to minimize his workload. Renting clubs and a cart felt like an unwelcome chore for him.
While we appreciated his attempt to keep the line moving before our tee time, it offered little comfort. The group behind us practically tailgated us, nearly hitting my wife. To top it all off, he repeatedly announced my last name incorrectly over the intercom. Despite my corrections, he simply responded with "whatever" on multiple occasions, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism.
Would I return for a third try? Only if there were absolutely no other courses available in the Chula Vista area. While the course itself offers unique challenges and decent maintenance, the consistently unfriendly staff significantly detracts from the overall experience.
Solid course, poor greens
Overall pretty decent course. Fun holes and plays pretty quick. Greens are carpets which ruins a solid putt. Good price for walking, with the cart it feels a little pricey.
Dissapointing
Super slow pace of play, homeless people riding their bicycles up and down the course, waiting behind two groups at every tee box.
Great Little Track; Great Bargain
Remarkably well laid out and well maintained course, and with 2/3 of the holes 4 or 5, better for a real-feeling round than most 9-hole pitch and putts.
Dinged course conditions mainly because there's a bridge out that makes getting to the first tee really janky, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt hoping it's a recent and short-lived situation.
Small track but cheap!
You get what you pay for. If you can get the 9.99 deal I definitely recommend to give it a shot. Fun little track but I wouldn’t spend more than 15 bucks to play.
Good Potential, Painfully Slow
45min to play 2 holes on a weekday is pretty ridiculous and won't do it again. Too bad, great value, layout and conditions comparatively.
