National City Golf Course

Course green fees were a great price, $18 for 9 holes. But when I got there I learned the cart fee is $31…per person. Just about double the green fees, and for a 9 hole course. Outrageous!! Settled for a $5 roller for my bag. They overbook tee times, everyone is waiting on almost every hole. Rsnged from a 2 minute wait up to 10 minutes where 3 groups were waiting to hit off the tee in between holes. Bathrooms very poor. Course was average, some nice par 3s and 4s. The one par 5 hole I was looking forward to practicing was nonexistant. They moved the tee box up 200 whole yards so it was more like a par 3 maybe 4 instead of a 400 yard par 5. As a beginner golfer I’d go back for the cheap green fees but expect a slow game, do not buy the cart.

Staff was friendly. Course was in a little rough shape, & there was some puddles along the cart path. There weren't a whole lot of pre-madonnas playing, & the frequenter I was paired up with was great to play with & guide. I probably shoulda brought my full bag sans my Sunday golf bag, but it was fine. The food looked & smelled great, but I had already eaten.

Great pace, great price. Lots of leaves n other debris on greens. Maybe get a guy walking around with a blower to help smooth up the greens?

Fun layout and super quick pace but not the greens... Maybe their lawn mower for the greens was broken, but these greens were slow and more than 1 cup was not cut properly but I had fun smashing some puts in!

The course has undergone some very serious repairs this year. The walking bridge has been replaced to the first tee box, the netting for the driving range has seen lots of patching, and the greens have also had their scars repaired. I'm eager to return as this course is one of the best values in the region.

Played this course a few times over the last three or four months and it’s great except for the condition of the actual course itself. The tee boxes and the greens are absolutely terrible condition. Putting on the greens is like no other course - literal carpets where the balls are bouncing all over the place. Half of the tee boxes are sand and not even level ground. I know the course is offering memberships now so this may improve cash flow and hopefully course conditions but somehow the overall condition of this course has gotten worse and worse the past few times I’ve played. I’ll still play again, fun course with a nice layout and can’t beat the value nowadays but the greens and tee boxes are just absolutely terrible

The course was in great shape. Staff was friendly and they finally have a starter. Better than last year. Great bargain for the price.

As long as they don’t get expensive I’ll keep coming back. Fairways and greens(slow) are pretty well maintained.
