short course but very tight and challenging
Staff was very friendly, course was fun and the location was nice
Good Course with nice layout , do not play when wet.
Unfortunately we played the course the day after a soaking rain shower and the course does not drain well. We were first off and played cart paths only so I cannot gauge pace of play for this course. When we are in the area again we will make sure to return for another round. My wife and I did like the layout and the staff was very nice..We went into the restaurant after our round for a light lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how good the burgers were..Again a very accommodating and friendly staff, and a nice layout.
Flooded
As I grew up playing this course, I have played many times over the years. Unfortunately most of the holes have standing water on them. If they didn't, the fairways were saturated. I am hopeful that the staff turns around the course. This used to be the center of golf in Crystal River. Maybe one day it will be again.
Course should have been closed
Upon arriving at the course I was told that it would be cart path only.. Under statement..It should have been closed. The entire course was under water. Cart paths had several inches of rain water on them making them almost impassable. If I could have I would have asked for my money back. To be fair I have played this course when it was dry. Great layout, fun course.
Christmas in Florida
Played with a couple from Michigan. Had a great time. Cart path only due to wet conditions from the 3 or 4 inches of rain they received over the weekend. Course was closed on the previous Monday. Otherwise the course was in good condition. Greens were firm and fast. Everyone working on Christmas day was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to all of them for sacrificing their time on such a family holiday. Ate lunch their and although it was restricted the burgers and fries were excellent. With cart paths only we had lots of exercise.
Fun Course
A little wet after the rain but still great golf. Not busy so the pace was excellent.
great wild life
This is a flat cours . A little confusing in early holes as to where to g . Great wildlife on the course . Gators, a variety of birds, variety if turtles, Smaller greens. Decent course.
Plant 11-28
The course was average. Play was tough as the weather was cold.
Great course and the price was great also
The course was in very good condition both fairways and greens. A course that I will play multiple times.
Great Deal!
This course was in great shape after having TONS of rain the day before. Usually a wet course, it really was in great shape. Greens were a little hairy, but excellent condition.
Nice track, great greens.
Paired up with a Grand Father, Father and Son, three generations. It was great, those guys were so fun, even if the course was terrible I believe I would of had a great time. Instead the course was in nice shape. The tee boxes had grass and were somewhat level. The fairways were nicely maintained. And the greens were great, some undulations, a little fast but they all putted true. If you are in Citrus County and have a chance check this place out you won't be disappointed.
great time
Our foursome had a great time. The weather was cool but sunny and the ball didn't carry as much as usual but that didn't stop from really enjoying ourselves.
I would recommend this course to anyone that ask's me. Looking forward to playing it again
Scenic track.
Scenic and a bit of a surprise. Conditions were OK, they had over-seeded recently and the grass was still in the transition state as all courses in the area have to go through this time of year. We would play here again.
Great course
This course is as good if not better then Juliet falls we will defenetly be back
Great Value from Golf Now
Although not a five star facility, the Plantation Resort Golf Course is super nice. It's, a little short, but very enjoyable. The course is in very good shape and well maintained and the landscaping is exactly what I would expect to see on a Florida course . There's plenty of sand traps and water that could come into play, however the course is set up for an average golfer to have an enjoyable round.
The course holds water during times of rain and I would not recommend playing here during Central Florida's rainy season. During dry periods, I would, without a doubt, play this course again and possibly several times.
I have and will recommend it to my golfing friends.
Using Golf Now makes this a good value that will leave you with fond memories of the course..
Plantation on Crystal River
the course was a little damp but it was in great shape just really really slow. It's kind of hard to get a rhythm when you're too soom for some to some foursome twosome.and then your partner leaves after three or four holes.Played good just really really really slow you had to have your mind set in snails pace.Never been to a golf course that told you to jump a hole or two or three and come back later and do the others.
wet & muddy
the course was so wet ,the rough was so muddy lost a lot of balls.signage was poor.not worth the long drive for this course. Not impressed.u
Beautiful course to play
Fairways were in great shape despite daily summer showers
Great course
Course reminds me of a Hilton Head Course beautiful landscape
Will play again
We played after a heavy rain the day before so the course was a little wet. The greens had just been verticut and were a little slow and bumpy, but still very puttable. Nice layout with doglegs and water in play if you hit really bad shots. We will pay again.
