Not happy with Club House Personnel
It rain almost all morning and heavy at times. It was still drizzling when I got to clubhouse at 10:15 . There were numerous water puddles at the golf course and clubhouse. There was no one in sight playing at this time. Didn't want to play in such wet conditions and asked for rain check to play in better conditions Man at proshop said I had to call golfnow and get rain check, he couldn't issue one. He said they don't get anything from golfnow, it was out of his hands. I would have loved to talk to some one else in charge because this jerk had some kind of problem this day. Will not play this course again because of this kind of treatment .
Good greens
Greens rolled nice. Rest of the course was in good shape for as much play as it gets this time. Pace was great for a Friday afternoon, too. Would recommend and will play again. Thanks Spruce Creek!

Great greens - everything else average
The greens are in great shape. Layout and fairway as are average. Not the most exciting course for the money at $60 a weekend rate.

Kind of tight with odd holes and conditions, some bright spots too
The greens roll decently, the fairways are a little patchy, pretty good bunkers for the most part. The layout is pretty weird though. First and second holes are pretty good can be aggressive on your drive and be rewarded, third hole is okay but a tree blocks a cut shot and it plays very tight, I often find ants in the left greenside bunker, 4th hole is okay straight par 3, 5th hole is weird because a tree blocks a cut shot, slopes it the fairway deter a draw or a short shot, right will result in a punch out, the only play is a straight high long drive I suppose, 6th hole is okay another straight par 3, 7th hole requires a snap hook to get in the fairway at least from the back tees due to a tree, only other option is a 150 yard shot off of the tee or else land in the out of bounds on both sides of the fairway without a sufficient snap hook drive, 8th hole is good, a risk reward par 5, 9th hole is okay, long straight par 4, 10th hole is good with options and challenge, 11th hole is a nearly forced layup and a very small green surrounded by bunkers, 12th hole is good, another risk reward par 5, 13th hole is good nice challenging par 3 with many good pin placements, 14th hole is a curved fairway to the right and water to the left and right, very tough and just odd, 15th hole is another hole with water on both sides of the fairway, mid range par 5, 16th hole is good, opportunity to be aggressive with a bunker at the bend in the fairway, do not miss right, 17th hole is a long hard par 3 with a small target, only bailout is slightly short and straight, 18th hole is okay straight away par 4, chance for a closing birdie. Some good holes but some weird ones as well. Fun to play every once in a while. Good for a straight ball hitter.

great greens
had not played SC in a while but extremely pleased at the overall conditions, particularly the greens. back is much tougher than the front but that's the way it should be. will be back soon

I was not asking for my money back and didn't expect a refund. I just wanted to play another time when it wasn't so sloppy wet. I did play because I believed I would lose my money if I didn't. It wasn't pleasant. My pants got soiled, m;y butt got wet from the cart seat and the equipment needed cleaning from the wet soil. Not my idea of a pleasant round of golf.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced at the course. As far as the raincheck goes, sounds like you prepaid for a Hot Deal on GolfNow. When this is the case, no money is paid to the pro-shop so there is no money that is owed back from the course. If you call GolfNow, they would be happy to rectify the situation. We hope this clears any confusion up and we hope you give us another try in the future.
