Needs a lot of work

Greens were in good shape. Fairways were just Ok. Tee boxes were horrible. Rough was uneven. Plenty of other options in the area that are better.

Course is in aweful condition

The course is in TERRIBLE condition. The price has doubled recently and they are not putting it into the course. I don’t think it’s been watered ever. We waited 45 mins for a cart and therefore started 45 mins after our scheduled t time. It was “cleaned” cart with garbage still in it. For a private club, expect a bunch more. At their current price I’ll be going up to lpga for a better experience.

Great pace and very good conditions

We had a mid day tee time and the course was very well maintained and in pretty good condition. Pace of play was great. Check in was see less. Carts ran well. Putting surface was very good. Had a great time.

Great Day!

Brought my nephew here for some golf as he was visiting from VA. Super day...course staff extremely accommodating....note of caution...GOLFNOW allowed us to book at 7:15a but turned out there was a tournament. We were fit in nicely as...I said...staff extremely accommodating and a great day! Food at club house really good too!

Overall

Great course. Generally staffs are friendly but watch out for women staffs. I don’t think the women staffs play golf at all. The male staffs are ok. We have not try the food in the golf.

Dealing with Drought

Always a great experience at Spruce Creek but the drought is having some deleterious effect on the course. The greens are still superb - fast and smooth. But grass on the tees, fairways and rough is getting thin and worn. It's obvious that a lot more watering is needed. On the plus side you can get a lot more roll out of each shot.

The staff is still friendly and helpful. I will be glad though when the pandemic scare is over so that bag/cart folks can fully do their jobs without separation restrictions.
