Royce Brook Golf Club - East Golf Course

Only few holes are decent and the rest are mediocre at best in relation to the tee time price.

Cart paths are more challenging than the course at time and the bunkers are really "fun".

They should put a lot of work into the course but till then I'm not playing here anymore.

The greens were fast but true. Great time and pace of play.

Used to be a great course; don’t know what they are doing to the west but it was in horrific shape for this time of year.

Check-in staff was very unfriendly. They had an attitude that I was bothering them spending money at their course. Understandable that the courses under construction. The rest of the course is a disaster for $92 to have that course being in that condition they should only be charging $25. I played there approximately 15 times in the last five years. I will no longer play there.

The course itself was in beautiful condition. The cart path is atrocious! The bunkers are holes in the ground. I think there were two bunkers with sand in them on the east course. The greens are in good shape, the fairways are gorgeous!

Keep getting better couple more year should be nice.

All the bankers have no maintenance at all. Waste of money and won’t play there anymore.

I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. The tee boxes looked like mine fields with no attempt at divot filling by staff. Not one bunker had sand in it - at least a year plus of abandonment with weeds, mud, and puddles throughout EVERY SINGLE BUNKER. The green at hole 15 had about 10 cup-size holes where it looks like the groundskeeper attempted to move the pin position but kept screwing it up. Also on 15 was about 10 iron divots from some a-hole who decided to hit off the green. Probably in frustration from the shape of all the bunkers. Add these to the unfinished sod install where at least 4 holes have 500-1000 sq feet of fairway missing due to sod installation occurring. The fact that they charge $99 for a terrible course in terrible conditions, and I seriously question why GolfNow would even have this course as an option for golfers to select. REMOVE THIS COURSE FROM YOUR SEARCH ENGINE. And SHAME ON THE OWNER FOR CHARGING PEOPLE A PREMIUM RATE FOR A COURSE IN SUCH TERRIBLE CONDITION. YOURE A CROOK and I hope you miss your next birdie putt and bogey it in frustration.

I have played this course several times before so I went in with a general idea of what to expect. Unfortunately no one told me that practically the entire East Course was under construction as they are replacing a ton of turf throughout the course. My only other issue was that almost every single bunker in the course was unplayable. There just seems to be no attention paid to them at all. Overall I generally like the course I just wish they would have let me know about the conditions before I booked.

They’re consolidating 36 holes to 18 holes with many on the east course going away….so they’ve ignored the bunkers which is unfortunate. 4 of the holes will be part of the new 18 so the bunkers have have already been rebuilt or are being rebuilt.

But the fairway, tees, and greens are fine and the layout is very interesting. Based on what I paid I got over the condition of the bunkers.

If you don’t pay too much (I paid $45) it’s actually worth playing.

Cart paths were a war zone -can’t even call them potholes

Pace of play was great 3.5 hours. Course was basically empty

Bunkers had no sand and actually had grass growing. To many short dogleg hole. Will not go back especially for the price. The iwners should be ashamed of themselves fir allowing this

Therewas no sand in the traps, every hole on the front 9 had construction going on, you had to move you ball about every shot as you were in a man made Hazzard. There was cut sod all around the greens no replacement sod at this point...just a horrible round on a course that I paid $99 for. Should be charging no more that $25 per round until the construction is completed

Course is in terrible shape, especially for the cost. Not one bunker has sand, and there is actually grass growing in many of them. Greens and fairways are in decent shape, but probably to for long. Layout is okay, but to many short dog leg holes
