About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Missing lot of love
Probably many years ago that was a beautiful course. We still can see some of the old course beauty. But now it is missing lot of love. In good shape this course would be in competition with all the nicest golf’s of the region . It is sad to see the bad condition of this previous so nice course.

Friendly staff
Course conditions are ok but it is a good value for the money. Staff tries to accommodate you. I was a single player and Danny, the starter, went out of his way to pair me with a couple of golfers that plays there regularly, and I had a good time.

Golf now should no longer support this course with tee times.
I always find something positive to say about a round of golf. However, Delray Beach is a shambles. Booked first tee time 7:10am. Arrive to find 20 plus golfers waiting to pay and go off the back 9. While this doesn’t slow pace of play it slows check in and thus if the 7:15 group and 7:20 group have all paid then they go which then does slow your pace of play. Just ridiculous.
The course itself is in complete shambles. Tee boxes are beat up, fairways are weed and dirt different grasses growing on greens with many many bare spots and sand on greens.
I don’t recommend anyone book here. Go to Boynton Beach or Lake Worth. Same fee far better course and staff

Course is not playable in current condition
Course is simply in terrible condition. Might be a great course if they fixed it up but when I say terrible I mean TERRIBLE. Probably needs a good $10 million just to get back to playable condition. Arguably the worst conditioned course in south Florida. Not worth playing even if free.

Pretty good for the price
Conditions were a bit dicey with spotty greens and dug up tee boxes but for the price it was a good value and we had fun

Greens Uneven
The greens were not well maintained. There were a lot of patches of higher grass on all of the holes.

Delray Beach Golf Club
Greens were in terrible condition as were some of the fairways and rough - lots of burned grass and dirt spots.
They haven’t had significant rain in weeks and must not be irrigating.

I haven't played here in several months, thinking possibly it could get better. It actually got worse. Uncut tees beat up slow greens and no grass on fairways. Horrible conditions.

Lovely Donald Ross design severely neglected by the government of Delray Beach. There is no excuse for the course conditions.

Brutal 5 hour round. 3 foursome backup in front of us. Ranger did nothing. Fairways burnt no grass. Greens in rough shape.

Great time
This course presented all of the challenges you would expect. Greens were in decent shape. Do not forget to bring sun screen and a towel as you will be finding yourself in the bunker at some point on this course. Loved the challenge and set up. The greens were fast but could have been better maintained. So dead areas made judging putts a little challenging. Tons of dead grass in the rough area would be something I would give it a hit against. The staff was great and really made checking in and getting going a smooth process. Would go again if priced under $50 per round during the winter and $30 during the Summer.
