About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Not the best, but not the worst
Played here several times in the last few months. Decent condition but room for improvement. Not really expensive so ya get what ya get. Always have a good time, especially this time with “the Jersey Boys”

Needs a bath, a shave a haircut and some deoderant
A very good layout in perfectly terrible condition. It hard to imagine how it got this bad. And I'm being kind today. While I have always enjoyed the character of the layout and the different challenges presented by most holes this place is a crabgrass and weed museum. Last time I was there was a couple summers ago and they were rebuilding a few of the greens. Conditions are so bad you can't even tell which ones they were !! I'll probably still go there from time to time just for variety but I honestly don't understand why anyone would make this a regular stop with many courses in better condition in the area for the same price. Much more could be doen with this course with some effort.

The course needs some work
The fairways need attention and T boxes somewhat less attention. The bunkers and greens were well taken care of

Sad
Haven’t played here for couple of years but was surprised and sad how the course was in such sad shape. Fairways were bad and green terribly slow. Hopefully there will be some changes back to when it was in way better condition.

Disappointed
Unfortunately this place has been going down hill in recent years. The greens are literally unplayable with bare patches, weeds and the grass is too long. The tees, fairways and bunkers are just ok. On a previous visit they ran out of range balls. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The city needs to invest $$ to bring this Donald Ross golf course back to its former self.

Super slow greens
Only played 9. Greens terrible and slow. Fairways not good. Disappointed since I heard they were to put money in and improve conditions.

The course was affordable
Good value for the money. Tee time availability is good.
Play Here if You Can't Find Anything Else
Layout is interesting. Could be a great course if they made more of an effort to maintain it. Most every aspect of the course is lacking: Fairways have a lot of dirt and little grass, burned out areas and weeds. Teeboxes are inconsistent, as are greens with weeds and gray areas. Sand is OK. Water stations on course not working. Cart was OK.
