About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Pace of play
Pace of play was usually very slow,, but since they made hole 10 number 1,, play seems much better

Nice round
Rangers could be more pro active moving slow players along .Other wise an enjoyable round of golf

Needs a lot of work
Greens were okay . But the tee box’s were in very bad shape. The fairways had some grass but were in poor shape too . What does it say about a course when it’s best feature are the sand traps.

Decent conditions
Like the layout. Fairways were a bit bare, not any rain latley had dried it out. pace was good, 4 hour round. For what I paid this time of year no complaints

Course needs maintenance
I always enjoyed playing at the Delray gc. But this year the course was really in need of attention. On a number of the greens it was hard to tell where it started and ended. Very disappointed. As always the the staff in the pro shop was very cold and aloof unless you were a friend of theirs. The starter was very friendly.
