Delray Beach Golf Club

Nice course overall, I play here 4-5 times per month, you could say is my base course. I found very peculiar that they don’t have a Manager, apparently the Manager quit and they haven’t been able to replace him. I’ve been trying for over a month to get a handicap index, turns out, they have the machine to do it but nobody qualified to operate it. It’s a shame that this club is functioning without a head or someone in charge, usually bad things come from that

Wonderful Donald Ross deserves better than this. Course is in awful shape for any money. New prop shop. New carts. For what? Fairways are pitiful. Greens slow and bumpy. I always play once a year here hoping it will be better. Never is. Delray Beach needs to invest $$$$

Could use better consideration from mowers, very distracting not shutting down when close to player

Where do I begin to explain the amount of disrespect we were treated with from minute one stepping out of the car. If anyone of actual importance at this god awful course is reading this the first improvement would be new management starting with Jim Mackie the "head pro" and then a complete tear down of the entire course maybe spending more than $10,000 on the course and its amenities. Municipal is a absolute travesty when it comes to this course and it really makes me upset that I come down here on vacation with my wife and they have the nerve to treat us like this. NOT A FAMILY GOLF COURSE....Sexist is not a descriptive enough word to describe the way we were treated. Simply put... if I could leave a no star review I would.

Simply put "Head pro" Jim Mackey is a sexist. How's your

wife doin buddy? Kicked the women out because "this isn't a

beach" while they were wearing women's sleeveless golf

tops and skirts. Told the men they were allowed to proceed.

The course was dead empty not a soul on the green. This

elderly man clearly had nothing else to do. His wife clearly

hasn't been intimate with him in the last century and he

took it out on the women who dared play on his course. Will

not be returning. We will be taking our money and our girls

elsewhere.

Only play here if everywhere else is booked. City of Delray needs to get out of the golf course business completely. Government can't run a place like this. New investment is needed to revive this place. It's a shame the City has ruined this great potential amenity over the years. It's probably not the current management company's fault that the course is in horrible shape. Their is little grass in the fairways so lies are even and unfair. Very hard to make solid contact with the ball under these conditions. Good luck getting a customer to buy and upgrade the place although some holes will probably have to be re-routed to accomodate some retail and/or housing development around the course. And the price to play here will undoubtedly go through the roof. Gotta love big government, right?

Good course. Needs some improvement in fairways and greens. Good layout. Great staff

I love the layout. You can tell these holes were originally designed by a great designer. The price is right too-very inexpensive.

Unfortunately, the course conditions are very poor. The greens were extremely slow and bumpy when I played (and most times I play the course). The rest of the place is rough but fine for the money, if the greens were better.

Course is not in good shape. If you’re looking for lush fairways and pure greens, go somewhere else. Spent most of the round dodging sprinklers and hitting off dead grass. Typical city owned course. If cheap is all you’re looking for, this is a good spot. Staff is relatively friendly and there is a nice bar/patio area.

The greens at Delray Beach Golf Club were some of the best I’ve played for the price per round. It was not hard to get up and down on this course if you didn’t reach the green in regulation.

We arrive at the course to read a sign offering 50% discount on Green fees as the greens had just been “badly” aerated. Golf Now said nothing and did not honor the discount offered. The course was unplayable and Golf Now attitude DISGRACEFUL

Greens can be a little slow at time but the layout is really nice. Mostly par 4’s with some 3’s and a few 5’s thrown into the mix. Definitely some challenging holes for amateur golfers. Mid to low handicaps who are looking for a relaxing day of golf should definitely check it out.
