About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Good pace of play, friendly and welcoming staff, and solid conditions make this my go to course.
Really needs an upgrade
The course has a cool layout, with some interesting features. Some of the holes were designed by but not built by Donald Ross. The upgrade would require areal commitment by the city in time and a large investment. As it is, this course optimizes the label of a "Muni", weeds, bare patches and marginal greens. There's a gem underneath there somewhere.

Golf review
Good course in average condition. Fairways in average at best, greens still recovering from airiation. Good overall experience

Frequent player
The staff is very friendly and very professional as well. The price for this time of year is about average and also reasonable.
I do believe that the grounds could be better maintained. This includes better cut fairways and rough as well as the greens.

Good local course
Finished in less than four hours and could have been even faster, but it started to slow at the turn. Course conditions are never great, but it is hard to beat for convince and cost.

Enjoyed the course not a long course pretty open off the tee greens were good not great and rolled pretty true not use to grainy Bermuda had been verti cut but were growing back fine

Can use some tender loving care
This course has a great layout but can use some tender loving care on the tee boxes, greens and fairways. Clubhouse and staff are great. Pro shop is very nice and fully stocked. Grounds keeping in general could do a better job if the resources were made available.

I had not played this course for over two years due to the horrible conditions of the past..I read couple of positive review about the course on lone, so I decided to try it..I have to say that I was pleasently surprised as to the overall condition..They did a marvelous job with both the grees and fareways. The also have brand new carts and the pace of play was great..It helped that there were hardley any players on the course..
