About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Racing around Delray Golf course
Fairways recently mowed. Greens recently airiated so they were still bumpy. Pace of play outstanding. Everyone that works there are good people, helpful and very helpful.

Great course for the avg joe
Round was nice. Staff was kind and accommodating to a last minute change of adding a ride along. It was blistering though and we got held up at the turn due to everyone stopping to restock their bevs. That slowed the remaining 9 quite a bit. The course was in pretty decent condition. Better than the first time I played it. Greens are pretty good and true. Easy feel on speed when putting. I love the layout. Wonderful round overall.

This is by far the worst course in the area. It's in atrocious condition, and completely mismanaged. Pace of play is horrible, and gold carts don't even work. You're basically paying to play golf in a field of weeds....

Unable to get a refund
I tried to call golf now to ask to cancel my booking as I couldn't make my tee time. But when I called the voice message only said I had to log in to do this online. But as I did not have an account I was unable to find a cancelation option. For me if I can book and pay without creating a an account, I should also be able to cancel my booking. If there is a warning of no cancelation allowed as a guest check out, I have not seen it. So long story short, I did not get to play.

The greens were just aerated
The greens were just aerated so most of them were practically unplayable. My (gas) cart maxed out at about 3mph. Might try again in a few months if its around 20 bucks but wont be back soon. Luckily they let me out by myself so i breezed through the round because i think most people knew to stay away lol

Greens were not in good shape. No true roll. Course layout made it fun and challenging

Much better
The course is better than before. The greens were actually pretty smooth and faster than before. I have always liked this course and layout, but the greens were bad. That’s much better now. Shot my lowest score at this course too due to the greens being better. Keep up the good works guys.

Great design
Donald Ross is probably rolling over in his grave seeing the condition of his lovely design. It would be a nice course if they put about $2 million into renovations. Unfortunately the brain trust running things has decided that "we're making money, why spend any?" Really?

Fin layout
Course was in great condition today. Played as a twosome done in 3 hours. All this rain has really helped. Lisa at the good window is great. Golf carts need a little work. Mine was missing too half of the window and it started to rain. No top half to pop up. Also the rain cover for clubs messed up.

Delray Beach GC
First time playing in 18 months. I did not realize how much I love this game. The golf cart was my only problem, it’s not a battery cart so had a rough ride.
Overall very nice Golf Course.

Excellent round at Delray
The layout is excellent and pace of play outstanding as played 18 holes in three hours as a threesome. Put some money into the fairways and greens it would be an excellent course.

After 4 holes got rained out and they would not give rain check because I booked on line not using golf now or tee off anymore it's not right........
Did you call Golfnow. Th e y call the course, to make sure of rain out, most of my rain outs through them have been reimbursed. Good luck anyhow
