About
Delray Beach Golf Club is the championship sister course to the executive Lakeview Golf Club, which is located less than a mile away. It is also less than three miles from downtown Delray Beach. Opened in 1926, Donald Ross designed the layout and over the years, touring professionals on their way to Miami have made it a habit to stop and play the classic design. Its still-growing popularity is a testament to the quality of the round. It provides a quick round that can be played in just over 4 hours but it still offers enough challenges for low handicappers. There is very little water coming into play but with the strategic bunkering that is abundant throughout the course, water features will hardly be missed. The club also has a reputation for being one of the most well maintained public courses in the area as well.

Great bunkering,sadly little grass
Mr Ross spinning in his grave with the overall condition of the course. Little to no grass in the fairways and greens that basically were unputtable. The entire staff was fantastic and the restaurant afterwards was spot on. There’s a gem here but being neglected. Price is good for the area but don’t expect much from the course.

This is my home course the starters are the best in my
Opinion and the oeople in the pro housr are great.
People spend to much time putting they should take to looks and putt or your pears should give you short putts you will get better this way.
If you 3 under par and i am behind you i can tell snd do not mind waiting.
In convlusion Donald Ross is someone we should all respect.

Must keep up with course maintenance, green attention. Must keep cost for golfer lower.

Would have been 5 stars if the greens were better.
It's all about the greens
If you're fussy about greens look elsewhere. Unfortunately the City of Delray Beach refuses to spend the time and money on them. Simple as that.
Highly price for course condition
Course condition was fair, greens patchy. High price for course condition. Staff were terrific. Layout was above average. Play was slow.
Gem with warts
Would recommend and play this course again. $50-ish dollar greens fee w/ cart during peak season. It's a Donald Ross design and the layout is great. There are some imperfections on the course, particularly the greens but if you go in with the right mindset for the price you'll have a great time. The staff was helpful and welcoming and I was paired with 3 regulars who were equally gracious. I live in Minnesota but wish we had this course back home.

Greens are unplayable
Is it really a golf course if all the greens are dead? If you are on the green in regulation give yourself a 2 putt and move on to the next hole
Course has good bones but terrible conditioning.
The course was in bad shape. The greens were very slow with sand patches all over and the grass on the tees were very long. Fortunately, due to these conditions few people wanted to play here so the round was very fast.
This could be a very fun course with some maintenance and slight modifications. It would be a good course to practice your driving and approach shots since you won’t lose many balls because the course is forgiving. Don’t expect to make puts on there greens though.
