About
The 27-hole Neshanic Valley Golf Course is the flagship course of the Somerset County Park Commission system. The renowned design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry created the course. Divided into three nines known as the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow, the course provides three different 18-hole combinations. Each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees. The Meadow/Lake Course features ample amounts of fescue along both the fairways and greens. If you don't hit straight off the tees, you may find yourself in some trouble. There are cavernous bunkers framing the greens, which are also subtly sloped for even more of a challenge. The golf course begins and ends with water holes but you'll find environmentally sensitive wetland areas that come into play throughout. In addition to the 27-hole course, Neshanic Valley also has a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course.

Excellent shape
Played ridge/meadow and it was in great shape. Pace of play was great 3 hours and forty minutes
This is a very good course...
The course was in excellent condition and the greens were very good as well. The pace of play was also very good for a Friday. There is alot of high grass and fescue so if you miss the green or miss the fairway you will lose some balls. Also, I felt it was a little pricey. Overall a a great day of golf, worth a try.

Great course. Every single time I played, condition is great, course is pretty, and challenges my game.
Rainy day so green was not as fast as last time but still rolls pure and punishes misshots.

Disappointed
Been playing here for years. This season things have gone downhill. The staff is rude and unaccomodating. It always was to a degree. Is it too much to expect a clean cart without someone’s used mask and leftover m&ms these days?? How about a scorecard? On a $70 weekday round?? Get it together guys!
Course is ok shape. Great layout and an enjoyable round if you can get passed the lack of service and if you get service don’t expect it with a smile!

Play here, just play here. I haven't been to this course in a few years, and it was as awesome as I remembered. Course conditions are great, and the grass driving range is awesome. Once on the golf course, you do not feel like you're in New Jersey. You feel like you are playing Osprey Point in Boca Raton, Florida, or somewhere in the Carolinas.
Top public course in New Jersey For sure. Ranks with Heron Glen, and Knoll West.
Amazing course
This is hands down one of the best public courses I have played anywhere. I was in New Jersey on vacation and went on a recommendation. Some of the best views and golfing of my life.
