About
The 27-hole Neshanic Valley Golf Course is the flagship course of the Somerset County Park Commission system. The renowned design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry created the course. Divided into three nines known as the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow, the course provides three different 18-hole combinations. Each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees. The Meadow/Lake Course features ample amounts of fescue along both the fairways and greens. If you don't hit straight off the tees, you may find yourself in some trouble. There are cavernous bunkers framing the greens, which are also subtly sloped for even more of a challenge. The golf course begins and ends with water holes but you'll find environmentally sensitive wetland areas that come into play throughout. In addition to the 27-hole course, Neshanic Valley also has a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course.

Tough course on a windy day
Beautiful course layout. Challenging approach shots with strong winds. Greens were aerated . Staff were very accommodating. Will definitely come back to play again
Tougher than it looks
Neshanic is one of those courses that looks easy even from the blue tees, but than you check your scorecard and wonder what happened. And the fescue hasn't even got up yet.
Solid Course
Course was nice but greens were aerated so tough putting. Hot deal price was fine $38 today but won’t pay $70 to play.
Aeration linger
Aeration was 3/29 so expected better greens. There were no greens. They were fully coated with sand and basically impossible to read speed or break...would have expected some warning from pro shop as well as discount from golf pass...
Great course
extremely windy and chilly, early tee time, course is in good conditions for late March, greens rolled true.
was surprised with the high amount of noticeable ball marks on the greens, very disappointed that golfers don't repair them. where's the golf etiquette ?
The staff are so friendly
We played early due to raining. The manager was so nice to make us go before heavy raining .
Great layout
First time playing the course, early season conditions were fair, with slow greens. Look forward to return during peak season to play better conditions.
Winter golf is cold.
A buddy and I booked a hot deal for a real good price. The course was in very good condition for mid January. The only negative thing I have to say is that on more than one hole, there was a cup with a flag in it, and another random hole and cup kn the green. It's obvious which one was supposed to be used, that wasn't the issue. Problem is there was no marker or anything on the other hole and I actually almost stepped in one. I would've been pretty pkssed to roll an ankle in one of those. Otherwise everything was great.
