About
The 27-hole Neshanic Valley Golf Course is the flagship course of the Somerset County Park Commission system. The renowned design team of Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry created the course. Divided into three nines known as the Lake, Ridge, and Meadow, the course provides three different 18-hole combinations. Each par-36 nine has five different sets of tees. The Meadow/Lake Course features ample amounts of fescue along both the fairways and greens. If you don't hit straight off the tees, you may find yourself in some trouble. There are cavernous bunkers framing the greens, which are also subtly sloped for even more of a challenge. The golf course begins and ends with water holes but you'll find environmentally sensitive wetland areas that come into play throughout. In addition to the 27-hole course, Neshanic Valley also has a nine-hole, par-32 Academy Course.

Great course
I typically play the Academy course only because the main courses are booked but was lucky enough to find a deal on Golfnow for $35. It makes sense this is typically $85 on Saturday. A great course and in perfect condition. The staff was friendly and had no issues with pace of play. Was a little annoyed the cart girl never made an appearance. Otherwise a great outing

Love this course
Love this course, But I wish I could play the lake nine first, because I’m always tired when I get to it in the last two holes are killer for me. Nonetheless if there is a time available tomorrow I will play it again
Great staff, greens could be better
Been playing here for years. Staff is doing a great job especially in the pandemic environment. Layout and views as good as it gets for central jersey. However, this year the greens have been extremely slow. Could be that the humid weather requires keeping height a little higher. But when downhill puts are not rolling out, it gets frustrating. Hope they can get the greens back to previous form.

I loved the staffs especially the starter Who was accurately Managed and so kind To players so
Its so warm feeling to be there and liked the course itself very much.
Only One thing is the green which was slower than I expected.

Course was in beautiful shape. Only thing I didn't like was how slow the greens are.
Average course
I used to hear how beautiful and nice the Neshanic Course is, and believe it or not i wasn’t that much impressed at all!
There are no bathrooms on the course, there is absolutely no shade on the course, and they had chips for sales for food. As far as I’m concerned this place is a money and a ball trap!!!
Consistent
Always in good shape. Great staff, and have been terrific during pandemic. My favorite in the area. Obviously, best of the county rota.
One of the finest courses in NJ
Neshanic Valley is a top notch course that will not disappoint.
Pace of play was good. Played a fair number of courses in the Tri state area and this is one of the few courses with bunkers that were actually playable. Greens were in good condition. Overall a very good experience.
The course has a great layout
With 3 different 9 hole courses its a great track to play as you can play 3 different courses on three different days Sgt one location
