Beautifully maintained resort course
Played here about a dozen+ times over last year, along with many other popular Orlando courses.
Overall one of the best golf experiences in the area, Make an effort to get here early as they have a short iron and full driving range w/ Trackman, a versatile chipping area to test fairway, rough, bunker lies along with blind shots. The massive putting green also prepares you for the fastest and firmest greens in the area.
Tee shot placement is essential, setting up critical approach shots on each of the odd Par 4 holes. 1,3, and 5 are drivable (291-324) to setup easy birdie/eagle opportunities depending on pin locations. The Par 3 even holes 2, 4, and 8 are entirely over water although with slightly larger greens, but beware the greens are rolling like ice. Holes 7 & 9 will make or break your score with extremely difficult approach shots that can birdies into bogies with the slightest mistakes: 7’s approach will be around 100yd to tight steep-sloping green over a ravine and surrounded trees and water behind. Depending on long you can drive it, 9’s approach will be from a narrow fairway around 200 yd with water completely along the right, eliminating even the slightest push, definitely the toughest hole on the course by far. Take notes, enjoy the scenery and challenge yourself to fix mistakes and improve your score on the second 9. Staff is extremely hospitable from check-in making sure you are prepared to play to starter keeping everything organized to cart boys scrubbing down clubs and maintenance diligently keeping the practice faculties and course up to par, also good to see staff consistently monitoring pace of play. You do get a diverse group of golfers here but never does it take over 4 hours to complete the track twice. It is one of only two Marriott Golf Academy courses in the country, and also happens to be in the most popular tourist & golf cities in the country, which explains the price and pace of play to some extent, especially during winter. About half the crowd only gets outs for 9 anyways, but lastly come prepared with water/drinks/snacks as pro shop has just a mini fridge with gatorade, but no cart girl. Enjoy
Great conditions but short 9 golf course
Too poor
This is the poorest golf course I played,I don’t know why golf now recommend it to me,I feel so disappointed
Great Round
The course is really shaping up. Great layout and the greens are rolling nicely.
Short, beautiful but crowded
The course is extremely well maintained but don’t be in a hurry. Gets very crowded especially when you get back to do your second 9
The Course is in GREAT Shape!!!
An EXCELLENT round for our foursome. Tees off at 2:00 and finished to the most beautiful sunset! Refurbished greens were fast but beautiful. Recent over seedling made the course absolutely stunning. Thanks for a great experience.
Great short course
Only a nine hole layout and a par 32 but all the holes are excellent. And enjoyed playing the course again to make it 18. Pace was excellent for a Sunday afternoon.
Grande vista golf club review
Beautiful property and beautiful course, the pace of play was slow but the surrounding views made the waiting worthwhile.
Staff was very friendly and very professional. Would definitely play here again
