Enormous potential
The golf course was acquired by the owners of the Renault Winery, long time golf course operators. They have plans to get the course in top notch condition (which will take a couple of seasons) and renovate the clubhouse/restaurant, among other things. I look forward to seeing how LBI National progresses over the coming years and will support the venue during their journey. My only fear is the course will become so popular that the rates will increase and play will take longer. In the meantime, they're the best course in the area and I plan to make it my "home course."
So much potential. Course needs tending. I bet next year it will be grand. Lots if work to do
Good last minute spot.
I paid $125 for two people teeing off at 4 with a cart. It was empty and the starter was nice about letting us play without the other two people who they originally tried to pair with us. Greens were very fast and there is a lot of geese crap and bunkers. A ton of hills and weird drop offs but relatively open for the most part. I’d come back but only during hours I know it’ll be quiet.
After 2 1/2 years of being closed, course is on the rebound
After 2 years of closure and only being open for 5 months, this course is extremely playable.
Give it a chance. LBI National will be a top course in the area.
Cool logo too!
Close to LBI
Trying to restore a very good challenging layout but a lot of work left to be done
Played the course with my wife and had a very enjoyable round
I would recommend this course to people staying on LBI
PRO’s flat tees, fast undulating greens, challenging track
For $59 decent value
CON’s needs tender loving care , needs better signage
Plenty of bunkers with
UNUSED rakes
Course needs alot of work, not worth 100 bucks a round.
Glad to have this course back
LBI National aka Sea Oaks is one of South Jersey's best tracks. The challenge and the layout never disappoint. That being said, after 2+ years of being closed and financial limbo new owners reopened around June 1st and the course is coming back to life. The bad- the new owners finalized their purchase in May 2022 and were not able to make course condition improvements after the spring growing season and the summer heat has effected conditions. The course is playable but needs tlc. Greens are good but not healthy and they are losing the fairways. The clubhouse has not reopened and they do not have any food or drink for sale yet. They do however charge NJ summer shore rates, $75 to $100 a crime for the condition of the course and amenities. Hopefully, they will repair the course conditions and reopen a great clubhouse bar then this fine layout will earn the premium price.
Decent
Decent course though the need to fix the very 1st hole. Opens with a par 5 with unclear landing areas and random bunkering - fix it!!!! Got nice after that…… needs grooming more but greens in good shape….. no food or drinks yet so bring a cooler….
They could fix this nice if they do it right!!!!
CJ
A bit pricey for conditions.
I realize the course has been closed for a number of years, and the staff is diligently working to get conditions to excellent conditions. As of now, the course is in good condition and will need more time. The $90.00 rate is a bit excessive. I will return next year when the grass has been given more time to grow.
LBI National
We’re so happy to see the former Sea Oaks course open as LBI National.
Friendly staff, great layout & things just get better with every visit.
I like this course, I get that they have been closed for a while but I think they have good intentions. Its not a 100.00 dollar a round course! Its a 40 dollar a round county corse at best. I wont count them out, it has potential to be great! I hope they make it great!
LBI National
THE COURSE WAS WET FROM EARLY MORNING HEAVY RAIN SO CART PATH ONLY. I PLAYED ALONE AND PLAYED 2 BALLS OFTEN. WHEN I GOT TO THE 10TH TEE THERE WAS A FOURSOME IN THE FAIRWAY AND ONE ON THE GREEN, SO I CALLED IT QUITS. SOME OF THE GREENS HAD SOME VERY STRESSED OUT/BURNED OUT AREAS. I PLAYED THE BLUE TEES BECAUSE THE WHTE TEES HAD TOO MANY DIVOTS. THERE IS DRIVING RANGE WITH REAL GOOD QUALITY BALLS AND A PUTTING GREEN THAT IS NEAR THE FIRST TEE.
Still needs work after the sale/ reopening/name change
Played this course when it was Sea Oaks. The course was in much better shape then. The layout is nice but course conditions left much to be desired. Large puddles on at least two greens. Bunkers with stones the size of quarters in them. Fairways not maintained well. This course needs work and should not be charging the rate they’re charging until it is in better condition. Much better course options in South Jersey for the price
