Scotland Run Golf Club
About
Scotland Run Golf Club is conveniently located less than a half hour from downtown Philadelphia and only 45 minutes from Atlantic City. It has been voted the top golf course in the Philadelphia Region and it's also ranked in Golf World's Top 50 Public Courses in the country. The layout is routed through and around an old sand quarry, providing a unique mix of wooded, quarry, and links-style holes. The distinctive landscape has unique features including expansive waste areas and imposing cliffs that were deftly incorporated into the design. The golf course is wide open, which means it's at the mercy of the prevailing winds. Scotland Run Golf Club is a tough but fair test where you'll face forced carries, water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers. On mornings where the fog rolls off of the hills, for a split second you might think you're at St. Andrews.

Great club
I played here over seven years ago. Still a great course and will be back.
First Time - Nice
Course was in very good condition. I found it fairly difficult. Got behind a very very slow foursome and no course rangers.
the best overall facility in south jersey.
I have been playing this course for six years, and it is in the best condition ever. Cudos to the new golf director and his staff, for the work and constant upgrades they have made here. Great practice area and putting green to warm up on and get loose helps to score better during round.
Great for Hot Deal, not at retail.
It's a fun course, with a lot of interesting holes. 95% of the course is in perfect shape. There are small parts that are burnt out or overwatered. For $50-$75, it's a great deal. But for being in Williamstown, and course not being perfect in 100% of the area, it's not worth the $95 they try charging, particularly during the week.
Wow
What a beautiful course all around. A wonderful combination of links style and pines course together. Fairways ranged from narrow to wide open, rough was thick and greens were almost perfect. Scenery lent to the overall experience. Can't wait to play again sometime.
Great Experience
The staff and course condition make this a great value and experieince for a day of golf. Plus rangers on course make sure the speed of play for 4-4.5 hours is kept and keep you informed if there is some dellay.
Good but not worth the money
A fun and challenging course but the course condition on and off the greens was pretty poor. I would be OK with that if I was paying $40-50 a round but as this course is a little more expensive I was expecting better.
Scotland Run
What a wonderful morning on this absolutely beautiful course. First time played, have been wanting to play for a while. Course was in excellent condition, fairways immaculate, greens fast and true. Course had a links feel to it but trees gave it a mix of a pine course feel. Can't wait to go back and play again.
nice and long, fair yet challenging
course seemed to be in good shape overall. front is open. not much interference with trees on tee shots for those with big draws or fades. greens are fast and smooth. a few long par 4's that feels like a par 5. played from the blue tee's. overall I enjoyed my round.
fyi. there is a long par 3 that is around 220 yards on the back that will not punish a long shot over the green due to a big slope that may feed balls back to the green. if you are short you are in a water hazard/gully or a bunker. use 1 club stronger than norm
real test of golf
great golf course. large fairways but dont miss them!!! tall fescue off fairway. played early as a twosome and played in under 3 hours. that is with looking for balls!!! a must play
great features
Price was great for a normally high priced course. Condition were average as the course was being aerated.
Decent Round
The course was in decent shape but cart path only made for it a slower round. I felt the greens fees were overpriced for a round this early in the season. We had booked for 3 people and had gotten paired up with a single. I wouldn't have minded if the course was crowded but there was no one behind us. I would have liked to play the round with the 3 of us...
the course has a great layout
always been a very good challeging course, early in season so work being done, but on this occassion pace of play very poor even though rangers were aware but telling you the slow group is a little behind when in fact they are 2 holes behind is a little concerning.
Beautiful course! Better in sand after playing 18 here!
My brother and me played scotland run on a cold Sunday morning. This was the first time we drove a hour to play, cause we heard this place was for real and we weren't disappointed. First off the staff was great, starting with the nice man teeing us off, 'don't remember his name'. We were hoping to play just two of us and he was nice enough not to partner up with 4 golfers behind us. We didn't feel rushed all day which was great cause we're semi beginnings. Beautiful scenery with cool air plane's in sand traps and old excavators made this course for me. really only thing I could complain about was the $58 green fee. but then again what do you expect from a top course in your state.I couldn't wait to go home and tell my friends and hopefully we'll be back in the summertime. specially to go back and get an Oakley scotland run tshirt or hat.
Quality
This an upscale course with upscale rates but it's one that's worth to play once or twice when your looking for a special course to play.
Course has great layout
The course is always in good condition the ought the year. One of my favorite courses to road trip to. Challenging but not overly difficult. Some good risk reward holes that test your confidence. After a round great club house with very good food and atmosphere
Play this anytime you can get a discount!
Scotland Run is one of the high quality courses in the area. The regular $100 green fee is too pricey for me, but the $45 we got made it worth it. The weather wasn't as good a predicted, and it had rained the night before, so everything was wet; not much roll on the fairways. The greens were soft and everything stuck, but couldn't draw the ball back. #14 was closed as they were putting in new drainage. #1 had just completed the drainage upgrade. We could see all the lines, but the greens crew had everything rolling smooth with no impact. Greens were pretty quick, especially for this time & weather. Fariways were browner than expected, but still played well.
The course was in good condition for November.
Tough greens, would like to play it in season. Still enjoy it.
love this course
love this golf course, each hole is different, lots of links style berms and rolling hills, waste areas, canyons, regular sand traps, some water on a few holes, lots of weeds & fescue everywhere, greens rolled true, some larger greens with multiple hilly levels, others flatter with more subtle pitches and ridges... unbelieveable cheap greens fees at golf now hot deals... 65 and sunny in November, a 3 hr round
