Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Great track, needs work.
The golf course layout is quite nice…which is why I return.
The problem is. The condition of the course is often poor. Recently, the green conditions were a bit rough because there’s a lot of sanding going on. This makes the role inconsistent and very grainy when trying to putt. The actual course itself has a lot of weeds, and the fairways are cut too thin. Not only are the bunkers, not raked by machines there’s no rakes if you wanted to rake.
This could be a jewel if somebody actually maintained it well.
Awesome Layout
First time playing here. Long drive from south Orlando area but well worth it. The course layout is awesome with lots of dog legs, long par 3s and the odd shorter par 4
We were greeted by a friendly pro shop guy who provided a course layout and yardage booklet (which was helpful)
Tee boxes were fine, fairways were a little patchy and the greens looked like they had all been treated recently. Course is hilly, no water but lots of sand/waste bunkers. A 3 ball teed off in front of us but never held us up so we really enjoyed our game at a fast pace
Will look to play here again
Terrible course
Greens were like putting on a sand bar, fairways have very little grass, overpriced for the condition of the course.
No greens, all sand... dyed the sand green to look like grass.. pathetic....
Too many people
We played on a Friday afternoon and the first nine holes were great and then on the back nine I guess they let a lot more people on the course. We had to wait for fifteen minutes to tee off on number ten. We ended up leaving after hole 12 because it was so slow. I would go back for the price but not on a Friday afternoon
Nothing last forever
Probably 50% of courses in Fla do not hold their playability after 40 years of existence. This course has seen better days. During the summer and if the price is right I’d say go play it. Of course the amount of money and labor it would take to get it really enjoyable is cost prohibitive due to Bidenomics.
Greens slow and bumpy
The greens are so bumpy, there is no way to predict which way the ball will go on a pott.
About the same as it’s been for the last couple of months
The course conditions have not changed much in the last couple of months. They are working on it, but the grass just doesn’t grow this time of year. Once we start getting more rain and sun, it should come around. The greens have very little grass, but they are constantly sanding and rolling to smooth it out so putting is better than it looks. Fairways are a little sparse, but I see some grass coming in.
Lots Of Potential Missed
First tell your golfers you just sanded the greens before they get on the first green and discover it. Putting was all but useless. Secondly, get a Marshall and stop overselling. Slowest round I have played in years. Just dismal. Lastly, there a couple of spots that you need a bell to let the group behind yo know you are clear so that after 20 minutes when you assume they can't possibly be over the hill and tee off, you aren't causing them to get upset that you "hit into them."
disappointment
used to love this course due to the variety of holes. Now the greens were in poor condition and the fairways had little grass in them.
Needs some work!
Great layout with elevation changes and interesting short and long holes.
The condition of the course was not satisfactory. The greens were very slow and many were not true - very bumpy.
The fariways had bare patches galore - at lease they were sanded - so that our group played lift, clean and place.
I really love this course and it hurts to report such poor conditions. I hope they can get it back to where it was a few years ago.
