Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Didn't have our reservation. Sandy everything
It started out with them not having the reservation we booked. I'll chalk this down more for golfnow then the course. They still honored the time anyway. Great people very friendly. The course was in rough shape most likely due to the grass season. The greens were very patchy and sandy. There is no water which could of been a plus but the roughs are very rough and full of sandspurs and thorny vines so it's like a water hazard you aren't getting your ball back. Overall it was still an enjoyable challenging course.
coming back
Played a few months back course condition terrible. Now months later quite a bit better, Greens and fairways are looking healthy and playable. Good job management.
Making a come back
The Deltona Golf Course is making a come back. They have changed the Groundskeeping Staff which is key to a successful well maintained Golf Course. It was a pleasure to see the improvement, considering this Golf Course offers such a wonderful layout. The greens are on the mend give it another few weeks and they will be rolling just fine. I'm now considering purchasing a membership.
Not satisfied
There were home owners all over the course and one even decided to just keep playing the eighteenth hole with me. Very rude. Then the pro shop closed at 5:00 PM. And wouldn’t let me in at 5:01 PM to go to the bathroom or change clothes. He said oh I’m sorry but we close the shop at 5:00 PM.
For a course that doesn’t have a full day anytime you would think they would be more hospitable.
I used to enjoy this course the past few years but it has gone totally down hill. If you live around the course then you can have it all to yourself. The paying customers will go somewhere else!!
Good Place To Play
I really enjoyed my first trip to Deltona Club. The course was in good condition, for the most part. The tee boxes could use some work, and the greens were playable. Most of the fairways were wide enough to accept all but the really miss hit tee shots. Layout was very interesting and I was surprised by the hilly terrain for this part of Florida. Look forward to playing there again.
Getting better every time
The course is looking better if they could get the greens to roll a little bit faster, it would make the experience better. But you cannot beat the pace of play and the staff here is fantastic. If you come a little bit before your teatime and there’s nothing going on , they tell you go right out there.
Course improvement evident
The course shows signs of improvement. The fairways are decent in most places. The rough that had gotten out of control is not being maintained. The course is very playable, except for the greens. The greens at Deltona Club are very rarely in good condition, which is a huge part of golf, maybe the most important part in my opinion. They really should hire someone who knows how to care for the greens property. I’ll give it another try on a few weeks, hopefully it gets better.
Nice layout, needs a lot of love
Staff was friendly. Tee boxes overgrown, greens were the worst greens I’ve seen in years, not just here, worst greens of any course I’ve played in 5+ years. It was like putting in a sandbox. I won’t be back anytime soon.
Greens were sandy and slow. Based on the price, layout and friendliness of the staff I would play again with the hope that the greens will improve with time.
Worth playing
Deltona Club is improving. Greens are a bit slow. Lots of sand. No water hazards. Wide fairways. New owners. Nice people. Doing a good job.
Excellent layout
Really nice layout, elevation changes, doglegs, and holes of varying length. The course is in good condition overall. The greens are slow right now but in good shape. I would definitely recommend this course.
The friendliest staff in the area..
I love playing in Deltona they have a very friendly staff there. The course is improving. Every single time you come. the layout is one of the best in the area.. it’s also nice that you can get in there and play in about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Most of the people that play they’re having good etiquette and let you go right through considering there’s not a lot of play.
