About
Wild Turkey Golf Club is one of New Jersey's top public courses. It is part of the Crystal Springs Resort, which offers six other courses including the popular Ballyowen and Crystal Springs golf courses. Wild Turkey combines characteristics from both. The layout has a unique design inspired by the interesting topography, which is most aptly described as "basin and ridge." The "basin" of the course is a wide-open expanse that offers plenty of room while the holes that play along the "ridge" of the golf course tumble across a variety of elevation changes. Due to the dramatic undulations of the terrain, it's a tough golf course to walk. Wild Turkey Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 seventh. This tricky hole calls for a demanding carry over a quarry lake in order to reach the well protected green.

Golfer Reviews
Nice facility, fair and enjoyable course
Nice golf course, well laid out and very fair, and overall a beautiful facility. The starter was pretty grumpy that day, though, not making for a very good first impression.
Unfortunately it was cart-path only even though it hadn't rained in several days, so we did a lot of walking, and it's a hilly course. That, combined with the distances between the cart path and the greens, made for a lot of exercise.
That said, the pace of play was good.
Great value!
I have played at Crystal Springs twice now. There are multiple courses, all offering their own challenges and views. The Cascades was probably my favorite as far as the layout and variety of holes. The par 3 11th hole is my absolute favorite. Not only is it a spectacular view from the tee box, but the tee shot itself is not like many you'll have played before. You tee it up at the top of a cliff and hit down to the green 180 yds away. It's awesome!
Being up in the mountains, you're always sure to have a beautiful breeze in the summer. The course itself has some difficult undulations, but it's all part of it's charm. It's seclusion in the mountains makes for a peaceful, quiet and scenic round! Just go on Golf Now and you can get some great deals for an afternoon tee time there. We've played for $30 or less a person and it's more than worth it!
Great layout
A December round is a huge bonus. Course was in great shape for the off season. Good pace of play. 19th hole was terrific. Would definitely play here again. Five stars all around.
Wild Turkey is in great shape
Fairways & greens are in great shape. One of the best aspects is that there are little to no leaves on the course, which at this time of the year, is a great feature. You do not have to spend any extra time looking for balls in the leaves unless you are way off the fairway.
Great course
Very enjoyable. Great views while golfing. Would come back again anytime
Great course
What a amazing course. The course was in great condition in mid October. The only downfall was slow play.
always a pleasure to play
great shape one of my favourite course to play would recommend to anyone
Beautiful course
The course was gorgeous! The pro shop staff was very polite. The greens were pristine and the fairways were meticulously cut. The only bad thing was we booked a 3PM tee time and could only complete 13 holes before it got dark. The play was very slow. There is a need for a ranger in the afternoon. But with that said, a course worth playing!
One of the best in New Jersey
Great course . Nice layout and variability. Challenging but extremely playable. Greens were pretty fast and took some getting used to but were consistent. I have played all the other Crystal Springs courses and I will definitely play here again.
Challenging layout
For 45 bucks, this was a pretty good deal. The area is really beautiful and the layout of the the course is very fine. If I'd been paying full price, I might have had something to say about the condition of the greens, but as I say, for 45 bucks I'd go back again. We're thinking of going back next week, in fact.
One of the best in Northern NJ
A round at Wild Turkey is what most golfers dream of; beautiful scenery, immaculate course conditions. An absolutely awesome test of golf.
This course is by far my favorite of the Crystal Springs Resort courses and although it is a little bit more expensive and the rounds a little bit slower, the course is simply amazing.
One of the unique features that Wild Turkey offers is that it is wide open and shaping your shots with a draw or cut doesn't present a challenge. This allows you to really challenge the course as long as you can judge the wind and elevation changes. All in all, there are few public courses in NJ that I would rather play.
A great day out
The course is fun and kept in great condition. The overall experience was very pleasant. From the cordial staff to the layout of the course. Highly recommended on all counts
Challenging but playable.
Course was in very nice condition. Loved the layout. Long par 5s and four long par 3s (two with forced carries over water). Course was challenging but most fairways provide generous landing areas. Only issue was pace of play......5 hours on a Monday?!
Great course and facilities but service a little lacking
Beautiful vistas on many holes, course design was fabulous. Pro shop and facilities are first class. Service was slightly lacking with newbie bag attendants and a stalling gas golf cart. For this price, I expect electric carts. Thankfully, my playing partners made this round a blast.
Great Staff
We played the day after they got deluged with rain, so the course was not in great condition. However, it is a neat layout, and fun to play. The primary reason I am rating this course as "excellent" is beacause of the staff. They are dedicated to seeing that their customers are well taken care of. Thanks a lot, and we will be back again soon.
Wild Turkey Review
One of my 2 favorites of the 7 courses at the Crystal Springs compound, is in great shape for this far into the season. Pace of play was smooth with no real delays, especially on such a great golf weather day (71 degrees / very low humidity / clear skies) and with the course full. My only complaint would be the severe lack of sand in the traps. And I visited far too many of them along the way. Friendly helpful staff from start to finish! A very golfer friendly course, worth a visit!!
This course is very challenging. Beautifully scenery!
The course was in excellent condition. The greens were fast and true. The pace of play was good. We had an early tee time and got out on the number.
