Wild Turkey Golf Club
About
Wild Turkey Golf Club is one of New Jersey's top public courses. It is part of the Crystal Springs Resort, which offers six other courses including the popular Ballyowen and Crystal Springs golf courses. Wild Turkey combines characteristics from both. The layout has a unique design inspired by the interesting topography, which is most aptly described as "basin and ridge." The "basin" of the course is a wide-open expanse that offers plenty of room while the holes that play along the "ridge" of the golf course tumble across a variety of elevation changes. Due to the dramatic undulations of the terrain, it's a tough golf course to walk. Wild Turkey Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 seventh. This tricky hole calls for a demanding carry over a quarry lake in order to reach the well protected green.

just wonderful
great course in great conditions. A must play if in the area
Excellent condition
Great condition, pace of play was terrible. To all, please learn to repair your ball mark on the greens, it makes it better for everyone.
Great layout ---- very challanging
Love the layout and condition of course. The cart caddies are not very helpful and really try to hustle you for additional tips. Not a good first impression . Will play course again but will take my own bag to cart and clean my own clubs so I don't have to deal with cart caddies.
Wild turkey
Practice area should be on grass not mats
Fairways were well manicured.
Rough was cut to a playable height.
Greens were in good condition but overall speed was slow.
Very enjoyable round
Great conditions, beautiful course, some great holes. Played a little slow, but very enjoyable.
Great course
This course is beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon of golf. That said I must warn women that the forward tees do not get much of an advantage and in some cases the tee advantage is laughable. I seemed to play out of the bunkers all day and they were filled with rocks and hard packed sand/dirt. The bunkers could use some soft sand and need the attention of the groundskeeper. This course is difficult to play quickly because of the amount of travel time between holes. I would not suggest walking this course EVER!
Fair and fun- use all clubs
Great course - wish they would have gps on electric carts/, gas carts noisy and hard
Wild Turkey
Wild Turkey GC is a blend of Crystal Springs (challenging par 3's) and Ballyowen (use of fescue grass) courses. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are kept in great condition. The sand traps have a hard pack sand with small stones. Pace of play today was a little slow thru the first 7 holes today due to an outing. The ranger kept us informed as to their progress. Mid-station has a good selection of food and beverage as well as the clubhouse. Facilities and equipment are new or like new condition. This is a fun course to be played by all!
Fun course
Great course - would rate it an excellent if the bunkers had sand like Ballyowen. Sand was hard and difficult to hit out of and our entire foursome found this to be the case.
Fun course with forgiving fairways
Wild Turkey has always been one of my favorites.
Excellent weather conditions and course in very good shape.
Price is higher than average for a splurge.
But it is a fun course with excellent surroundings
wild turkey
The golf course as always was in fantastic shape. Attention to details is amazing. The views are great and this is my favorite of the crystal springs golf courses. Pricy, but one course you must play!
Enjoyable round of golf
Had a great time on on spring Tuesday. The course was surprisingly empty on a sunny day. Greens a little bumpy from recent aeration. Played fast and will come back.
NIce course condition in April
The course is in very good shape on tee, fairway, and greens. The only drawback is the pace of play due to slow play by golf league a few groups in front of us. Most of leaves are cleaned in the course. The green is well maintained.
Won't go back
The course was VERY disappointing. The greens were aerated last month and did not recover in any way. They were VERY slow and bumpy, not mowed in at least a week and never rolled. The sand traps were not taken care of and looked neglected. Just overall a bad experience, and I will not be back. I do not recommend this course at any price right now.
Wild Turkey
I have played this course numerous times, and is usually very good. Aeration took place a month ago, and it does not look like the greens have been rolled or maintained since. Very poor green condition, and several traps look like they were filled with cement. Honestly ! Will not be back until I receive a good report.
Wild Turkey
great day - course beautiful - golf now price was great - bar menu after was average
Nice facility, fair and enjoyable course
Nice golf course, well laid out and very fair, and overall a beautiful facility. The starter was pretty grumpy that day, though, not making for a very good first impression.
Unfortunately it was cart-path only even though it hadn't rained in several days, so we did a lot of walking, and it's a hilly course. That, combined with the distances between the cart path and the greens, made for a lot of exercise.
That said, the pace of play was good.
Challenging Course
Challenging course, but I still enjoyed it. Course was in great shape and the staff was extremely friednly
Great value!
I have played at Crystal Springs twice now. There are multiple courses, all offering their own challenges and views. The Cascades was probably my favorite as far as the layout and variety of holes. The par 3 11th hole is my absolute favorite. Not only is it a spectacular view from the tee box, but the tee shot itself is not like many you'll have played before. You tee it up at the top of a cliff and hit down to the green 180 yds away. It's awesome!
Being up in the mountains, you're always sure to have a beautiful breeze in the summer. The course itself has some difficult undulations, but it's all part of it's charm. It's seclusion in the mountains makes for a peaceful, quiet and scenic round! Just go on Golf Now and you can get some great deals for an afternoon tee time there. We've played for $30 or less a person and it's more than worth it!
Great layout
A December round is a huge bonus. Course was in great shape for the off season. Good pace of play. 19th hole was terrific. Would definitely play here again. Five stars all around.
