Despite the rain

Unfortunately very heavy rain, but the course held up well. Enjoyed the layout. Some great testing holes especially into the wind.

Well stocked and friendly pro shop.

No food on today in clubhouse my only complaint.

Young lad on reception very welcoming. Course was very busy with a comp which led to slow play. 17th fairway overlaps one of the other holes and also next to another Tee area. This slows play down and can get confusing if not played here before. Greens were slow with a lot of pitch marks nit repaired. With so many trees on the course has led to a lot of leaves on a lot of holes leaving balls very difficult to find in early September.

LOVELY COURSE

Treated my playing partner as a birthday treat, i had played the course once before but he hadn't.

Course in great conditions and the greens are lightening quick which i struggled with.

Fortunately the birthday boy played the greens superbly and shot a very respectable round of 82 ( four under his handicap )

We will definitely go back in near future.

Lovely greens, loads of trees

Enjoyable round, few tough holes especially SI 1 & 2, lots of trees throughout, greens in great condition, pro shop staff polite and attentive, only missed out on 5 stars due to a group of members playing extremely slowly, had multiple opportunities to let us through but didn’t from the 13th onwards. The course itself and staff couldn’t be faulted.

Travelling through from Bristol to Pembroke we’d decided to play the course booking through GolfNow. This is an excellent course. Long par 4s and par 5s challenging greens. Set in a beautiful surroundings. All the reviews were excellent and you can see why.

Usually quite a good course. Holes 4 -9 were closed due to bad conditions. That area of the course is at the bottom of the course, shaded and bogey so it is no surprise they were closed. However this was reflected in the price. So I wasn’t too disappointed.

Winter weather is obviously difficult for all golf courses.
