Dunedin Golf Club was carved out of citrus groves and was the PGA National Golf Course until 1962. The golf course itself is delightful. From elevation changes to a river that bisects the course, you can just feel the aura of the great golfers who have played here. Bobby Jones, Gene Saraze, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Paul Runyan to name a few have participated in tournaments here. Dunedin Country Club is located in Dunedin, minutes from the beaches, many restaurants and several top hotel options. Dunedin Golf Club is a Donald Ross creation.

Hello? Number 10 should be number 1, easy fix. Number 4 should be a par 5. If looking for a low score it won’t happen here unless you’re a pro. Too many sidehill putts and greens hard and very fast. Not enjoyable

Great layout, marginal condition

The course in a Donald Ross, which I normally enjoy very much, and I really liked this one. The front is very long, just try to survive, because the back has many scoreable holes. The greens were in decent shape, but there were a number of GUR spots. Not sure if it was just coming out of dormancy or just poor condition. A player I met earlier in the week mentioned that the course was in horrible shape in 2022. He tried to talk me out of playing there. Bunkers were in nice shape, but the famed Donald Ross collection areas were primarily just short rough.

The staff was the least helpful I had come across. Not sure if they are aware that non members pay more than the members, and help keep them employed. I played with a couple of guys from PA that mentioned the same thing. I had a lot of fun playing with the Philly guys, and would probably go back, just for the layout, provided conditions improved.

Gotta love the old course designers and the vision they had . False fronts , deep bunkers and sloping greens . Stay below the hole or pay the price . Good value , I recommend this course . Play a little slow , teed off 1:56 finished 6:30 .

Not worth the money

This course is maybe a $40 course at best. So much of the course was marked ground under repair and just not taken care of. Afterwards I sat in the bar to get some lunch and the bartender rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a menu. Must have been having a bad day and took it out on customers. Won’t be back.
