Dunedin Golf Club
About
Dunedin Golf Club was carved out of citrus groves and was the PGA National Golf Course until 1962. The golf course itself is delightful. From elevation changes to a river that bisects the course, you can just feel the aura of the great golfers who have played here. Bobby Jones, Gene Saraze, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Paul Runyan to name a few have participated in tournaments here. Dunedin Country Club is located in Dunedin, minutes from the beaches, many restaurants and several top hotel options. Dunedin Golf Club is a Donald Ross creation.

Great couse
Found everything to be as expected as I have played it several times a few years ago.
Elevation in Dunedin
Most Pinellas County course don't offer much elevation, but Dunedin has a variety of fun elevated and different style holes. Fun course, most greens on back 9 are in great shape. The fairways need some work and more water. Staff was friendly and we'll be back soon
Worth playing and eating/drinking afterwards
Nice design but poor condition. I read previous reviews about the rude staff but even though the starter was a NY Giants fan , he was fine. No one to great or handle the clubs. Pro-shop guy was professional.
The food was very good and the food staff were very friendly.
Dunedin: Better than most
(Midwestern down during early March, 730am tee time so take with a grain of salt) Course was beat up in approach areas and having a hard time with lack of rain. Lots of hard pan and thin spots around the green/approach areas. Back nine is way better than the front. Pace of play was fantastic. Amenities were top notch and the staff was great to an out-of-towner. Typical Dye course with elevated greens and well maintained bunkers. If you can snag this course for $60-70 in the morning it’ll be worth it.
Work in progress
Some improvements have been made still lots of are ground.
Surprised
Last time I played this course a couple years ago it was still in great shape. Always liked playing there. Since then something happened. Greens and fairways are not in good shape with areas of dirt/lack of grass on every hole. Seems like they severely lack enough water to maintain the course and that is too bad. Such a great course and layout when it is taken care of.
Good day here
Very good shape for a public course in the Clearwater area for this time of year.
Slow pace!!!! Very very danged slow..
Good value for me
Booked as a single. 2 snowbirds & 1 member. Showed up & only had to pay $38 ,after booking round for $53. so the day started on a good note. The course is on excellent old Florida style course. Course condition just okay. Had I'd payed the $53 rate. Or was a member. I wouldn't be as happy. Played terrible, but enjoyed the day. Thanks mostly to my playing partners. Great carts. Not much of a driving range (mats). Greens good condition, but not very fast. Bunkers and tee-boxes in good shape. Grass in fairways and rough, a little ruff.. But its February.
Slow greens, consistent greens.
Fairway ground is too hard. Easier to hit a high iron shot off rough.
Fun day over all. Long drive for us. We might go back.
A Classic
Donald Ross knew how to make a course challenging and interesting. I’ve played it many times and never get bored. Very happy with the conditions generally. The staff is friendly and helpful. Nice work!
Need rangers to stop slow play and get golfers to play ready golf
Course should have rangers to stop slow play and get golfers to play ready golf and walk to their ball instead of waiting for their cart partner to hit their ball and to take them them 20 yards to their ball
