Great course, friendly staff and pro.
Played there for 29 years over holiday period. Hard vlvut fair test. Greens in good nick. Recommended.
Lovely people, lovely place, disappointing course.
Difficult to understand how this course is so highly rated in Wales. Although it has six of the most challenging links holes you could ever play, the other 12 are featureless and less than memorable. The course was in good condition and the greens were good, but overall the course did live up to our expectations. We would not rush back! On a positive note the Guinness in the clubhouse was great!
Great condition
Course was in great condition. First time playing it. The links holes are very tricky and will test the golfer in you!
Tricky par 3 221 yards over hazards!!
Lovely course in great condition
Booked afternoon round while on holiday in the area, easy to book, and at the club I was made very welcome.
The pace of play was slow, I played 10 holes in just over 2 hours following 2 x 4 balls who were pushing up against a 2 ball.
The course is in excellent condition, though I only played the links part of the course.
I didn't visit the bar, though it was busy with families having food and drink on the large patio.
I will certainly return and will try and arrange a round with a member to get the best out of the course.
Good as ever!
Played early on a Friday in late August, and the course was in excellent condition. Green's were particularly good, nice pace and true, and the rest of the course very good. Special mention to the club pro, who kindly lent me a trolley when the straps on my carry bag broke! Really friendly, excellent all round!
5 star location
Went early doors as a oneball in the most perfect conditions. I've been playing this course for 30+ years. It's had its ups and downs, but today I felt it was almost back to its best. The location cannot be beaten anywhere in the world, and the course is eccentric, quirky and amazing, all at the same time. Might just be my favourite course to play and enjoy. If you haven't been, get yourself there and give it a go.
Best course on the Lynn
Lovely course, especially the first 11 holes. Bit disappointed on the greens but overall thoughly enjoyed the round.
A nice course in picturesque coastal setting
We enjoyed our trip to Abersoch golf club. The course was quiet while we played. There are a number of challenging holes making it a good experience for golfers of all standards.
A course of 2 halves
Played on a wonderful sunny October Sunday originally a 3 ball but due to illness we ended up as a 2 ball, we were able to get away slightly before our 11.56 tee time which was great.
First few holes the fairways and other areas are not on the best of condition with some major areas grasses on some holes.
The seaward side of the course is sadly part of this area and was a bit of a let down.
Whilst the set up of the holes was excellent for me a 22/24 handicapper there were too many blind shots. Would be a bit easier now I have been round.
The back 9 is parkland and a decent run of holes with some that require good tee shot placement.
Had a pint in the clubhouse although £4.50 for a pint of cider was a tad expensive
Would I go again, possibly but not till the fairways are in better condition
Lovely course
Beautiful course in good condition with some fantastic views! Some tricky holes, second time around would be considerably easier!
Friendliest course in Wales
Some typical testing links holes with a mix of undulating fairways, blind shots and bowl greens - not to mention the sand dunes to catch wayward tee shots.
Wonderful sea and mountain views throughout.
The parkland section (holes 13-17) is not as challenging or interesting but that should hopefully come with the addition of a few more trees and allowing time for those in place to grow.
To be honest though, this is a welcome relief after the trickier holes earlier in the round. A chance to get some birdies and pars on the card before you finish.
The final hole is a short par 3 in front of the clubhouse gallery where you can then retire for a well-deserved drink taking in those views.
Friendly staff and friendly fellow golfers make this a great place to golf away a few hours.
disappointing
I really did not know what to expect... somewhat disappointing, very links feel in place, but the parkland section is bland and very ordinary.
Much better options in this part of the world
Windbreakers Annual Trip
This great, not too lengthy course is made more enjoyable by the friendly welcome by both staff and members alike.. We are a group of 16 golfers of varying abilities . We have visited Abersoch GC for twenty years.
