good course quick pace
Downer was cart paths only after rain,
Dr."s note for physical impairment made no difference.
A great golf experience.
A well maintained course (played the Lakes-Meadows combo) with plenty of terrain change and challenges. Greens were in good condition and putted true. A bucket of practice balls was included in the price and the range was great. Very friendly staff all around, well kept facility with a nice pro shop and excellent food service. Had a good breakfast at the club house before hand and nice late lunch after the round. I will definitely come back!
Aerated greens and fairways
Course was totally aerated so it was tough to putt but course is always in great shape when I have played it in the past !
Best course in Hudson Valley.
This course is well maintained. Practice areas are very nice. The course itself is very challenging. I will 100% play this course again and again in the future. Pace of play was avg and the price is avg too since you pay for what you play. I highly recommend this course to anyone.
Centennial Golf Course - Carmel, NY
This was a beautiful course - there are 3 nine-hole courses - Meadows, Lakes and Fairways. We played the Lakes 9 (there was not very much inb teh way of water hazards on it) and the Meadows 9. The Lakes 9 had many wonderful elevated tees - the mountain views were spectacular. The Meadows 9 was nice, but not nearly as interesting as the Lakes course. I would hope to play the "Fairways" 9 if I retured as it has also been described as being as nice as the Lakes 9. Overall, the courses were well maintained and fairways were in excellent condition. Because of recent rain, there was a bit of restriction with the golf carts and we did have some considerable walking. Overall, this is not a "walker's course" - I don't even think walking is allowed. The courses are long and since it's in the mountains there's lots of up and down terrain. I'm not a great golfer and some holes were definitely above my skill level, but I loved playing there just the same. It was a real treat to experience.
Great challenge and excellent mountain layout.
One of the best courses around - very challenging but with generous fairways. Hard to find a straight putt, but the greens are in good condition and quite fair. Lots of picturesque uphill and downhill shots.
great course
great course, but my skill level does not match the regular price. so if I would not have gotten a HOT DEAL, i would not have played the course.
Golfers should be advised of "cart path only" prior to making tee time and given the option to cancel.
With "cart path only" condition, this hilly and long course becomes a physical challenge. Deep rough makes it difficult to find balls. And long treks back and forth from cart path removes the fun from golfing at this well maintained course. It also makes for a plus 4.75 hour round.
Try to play with a member!
Diverse par fours. Well maintained. Facilties are good for a semi public course. Greens fair, fast, but a little "holed" up. Many great views from the Meadows course. Played as a two some on a Friday morning and finished in under three hours. Get a yardage book!
Great golf course
Played the black tees in just over 4 hours and it was cart path only as we had heavy rain the night before. I highly recommend this course!
Go.
Fantastic course. Incredible elevation changes. Never try to walk it! Amazing scenery. A bit pricey but twilight rates and weekday GolfNow Hot times are great deals. It is extremely well maintained and fairways are huge. Bomb it off the tee from the top of the mountain, finish off the hole, drive back up the mountain to bomb it again. When you finish your round you'll want to go right back out there and do it again. Lakes to Meadows is the ideal 18 combination, but Fairways is great all the same. Super fun, best public course in the hudson valley and all I can really say is, "GO".
Course is in great shape
Greens were running fast, made putting a challenge for the first time there. Will play again!
Very nice but pricey; walkers not welcome!
This is a very nice course which is well maintained and offers variety by virtue of having 27 holes. Nice practice range. Very nice scenery and plenty of challenge for better players.
Only negatives about this course are that it is pricey (although there are deals to be had at off peak times), and the course layout is designed for carts, so they don't allow walking. Not everyone wants to tear around in a (noisy, gas powered) golf cart smoking cigars and drinking beer. So they lose a star for that.
Great course
The best practice facility in the Hudson Valley. Combine that with exceptional views, wonderful fairways and greens and you have one of the best courses in a 5 county radius. A true must play but wait for a deal. It is way overpriced buy they get away with it because they are that much better then everything else nearby
This course has exceptional features.
My Centennial Golf Club experience was exceptional. The elevated views were breathtaking, the golf was challenging, the golfers were competently competitive, and the debate over whose NFL team would have the best record this year, (The Bills or The Jets), was invigorating. Just be sure to bring your A game for your best experience, just as you would before playing Bethpage. For me it was a win-win trip. My wife enjoyed the Woodbury Common Outlets while I played golf. I hope to make Centennial Golf a regular stop when traveling from WNY to L.I.
This is a Real golf course!!!!
With a little work this can easily be a championship course
