oh those hills !!!
We played the first weekend in Feb, and were really lucky with the weather..it was truly a perfect day for golf.
What a great shame this course is 2 hours from home (in the Black Country), I would certainly play it much more often if it was a hour away. There are three great things about this track.
1. Greens are really / really superb.
2. Elevation changes are immense, a really great test for your work off the tee and fairway shots, you really do have to think about club selection.
3 The par 3's.... some really REALLY great par 3's, we played off the back tees(White), and three of them were 200 yard+ holes. 4th is a gem, playing 220 UPHILL. Walked off with a 4 feeling very satisfied. (only to watch the lads behind us play up and one of them missing an ace being 6" short of the pin !).
A warm welcome from club staff and members, rounded off a super day out.
Outstanding value for money
Course was in excellent condition even when most other courses are closed. Greens were blemish free and super fast, especially for December.
The layout is also great, loads of different types of holes, each hole is built around the land rather than squeezed on.
Well stocked shop and professional was friendly, bar was also warm and felt invited by other members.
Strongly recommend!
Great Sunday out having a knock
Very friendly members, very windy conditions for half the round, but just added to the challenge , a great course and very enjoyable round, would like to return, shame its not closer.
Favourite course
I honestly couldn't recommend this course more; every hole is different and the views are stunning.
The greens were the best I've played on this year.
Return Visit
We have played Llandrindrod on quite a few occasions and are always made to feel welcome by everyone at the club.
The course is a pleasure to play and the views are exceptional.
Phil the professional always takes time to speak to visitors and help with any golf requirements.
The catering staff are also very friendly and provide a good selection of drinks and food ,before and after your round.
Thanks to all
Excellent Course
Great condition, challenging and interesting layout and a must if you love hill golf. Sadly got caught behind a slow moving fourball who didn't call us through but that only really became a problem as we got to the last 4 holes. Service at the bar was excellent with food and drinks delivered quickly in spite of it being rather busy. Can't fault the course apart from a couple of long uphill par 3 where you can't tell where you're going but that's just personal preference...in all other respects the course has everything and the 18th will scare you to death!
Little gem
Played yesterday and have to say i enjoyed it very much. The course itself was In great condition and although not the longest course it was a good test. I could imagine it being a real test if the wind was blowing. Staff very friendly. Will definitely return at some point.
Fantastic
On arrival the Pro Shop was very friendly, and after the first couple of holes all players in our group were staggered at the fantastic course conditions. Considering the time of year, no temporary greens/tee boxes, you couldn’t wish for any better, with some great views to go with it. Friendliness of other playing groups was great and has certainly made he trip worth while, will be back for sure.
First time here
My wife and I booked a deal here and played the course for the first time. Have to say it’s one of the most picturesque tracks we’ve ever played with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside on virtually every hole. That said, you require a good level of fitness to walk the course as it is extremely hilly. We noticed that most players, even the younger ones, used buggies. The course was in good condition and was very dry despite earlier rain. The greens were slick and the course overall well maintained with a terrific NHS in a heart cut into the 18th fairway. The pro and the staff in the clubhouse were all welcoming and friendly and this would definitely be a course that I would recommend to golfers of any standard.
